I was told that I needed my shoes when my dress arrives? I''m not quite sure why...(any light shed would be nice.) Anyway, my dress arrives in about a month and I really have no idea what kind of shoes to buy. A big problem is that I ordered my gown kind of long, to hang on the ground a little bit, because I was having an indoor wedding. Now, my plans have changed and we are outdoors. So I need a 4 inch heel.

Most shoes seem a bit too modern for my gown in this height.

I''ve looked through the wedding shoe thread, but I am totally clueless! What shoes would you pair with my gown? Budget wise, I''d like to stay in about the $250 range, but I could be convinced to splurge if an amazing pair of shoes crossed my path. I also love the idea of a blue shoe, but trying to find a blue vintagey looking shoe with a 4 inch heel seems impossible. I have also been looking at ivory, gold, and light pink shoes. I''m just lost!

The ladies of pricescope always have great style! Any help would be so appreciated.

You need your shoes when you get your gown so they can hem it the right length.

honey is right and I would suggest the manolos something blue shoes with that dress but the are $$$.

Also, Shannon Britt makes awesome shoes: https://www.shannonbrittshoes.com/index.php With your shoes I''d suggest the mia with the blue detail on the tie. You can find it under the bridal section of her website. Oh...and they are on sale.

I would have thought that too, but I ordered it hollow to hem, so I won''t be hemmed. They actually told me the gown couldn''t be hemmed. If it could, maybe my shoe problems would be solved. I''ve seen many a shorter heel shoe that would probably look really nice with this gown.

OooH! Her shoes are beautiful!

you might be ok if the dress is a little long. I have a cheap dress that is a little too long and I don''t trip on it at all.

I only have one pair and they are super comfy but I also have little narrow feet that I will sacrifice for fashion so I''m not the best person to ask. lol. They are amazing though.

Oh, and I thought of another thing... not a lot of people have these shoes that I have seen.

The other place that I would try is myglasssliper.com They have good bridal options however probably not vintagey enough.

Not sure if these are in your size, and they're also navy instead of a more bluey blue. But they're super-cute and a 4" heel...

ETA: They're on My Glass Slipper in white for $200!

But this one is also pretty and may suit the dress better. It comes in white and ivory...

For what it''s woth, that dress is gorgeous, and I think any color other than ivory (or whatever the color of the dress is) will really detract from it.

Hi Diamondseeker,

Thank you! Do you think I should go with a really simple shoe? Maybe the dress is ornate enough?

100 times ditto! I really liked the lace ones on Shannon Brit sites EM1 posted, or the very last ones jstarfireb posted. I think a lace shoe in ivory would compliment your gown the best.

Thritto!

What size shoe do you wear and when is your wedding?

I bet we can find something...

I believe this is a replica of the "Something Blue" shoe, only in Ivory--By Martinez Valero, but comes out in July Link

Another Martinez Valero, this is a platform peeptoe, but the detailing really stood out to me and would go well with your dress. Come out in June.--Link

More Martinez Valero, these are a gathered peep toe with a satin rose on the vamp. They feel more vintage-y to me. Come out in July. Link

Navy blue Magrit, peep toe, half d''orsay, tiny bit of a platform, with bow and rhinestone detail. Link

Badgley Miscka in light pink or white with fabric flower detail. Closed round toe. Link

Stuart Weitzman "Chantelle" shoe in Ivory. Lace vamp. Link

Betsey Johnson, icy blue sandals (loving these for me!) metallic blue detail Link

Badgley Miscka T strap with dainty fabric flower detail, light pink Link

Light pink "Dahlia" shoes. Closed toe with bow detail and rhinestones on the back. (I love these shoes. Seriously.) Link

Do you see anything you like? (This search was so much fun for me btw. I might find more later...)

Oooo....Freke! You picked out some great options, but I am loving the lace details on the Stuart Weitzman "Chantelle" shoes. They would look perfect with House Cat''s gorgeous dress!

Hope this helps some!!!!

Oh Deer! Gelato Pump Blue. Padded footbed. Synthetic and leather upper. Nonskid outsole. 4" heel. They''re sparkly, but I had them in black for FSIL''s wedding, and they were comfy!!!

Link These come in royal blue and nude. In nude, they are so vintage looking. I love these!!

Link Light pink 4 inch heel

Link Blue 4.5 inch heel. Not sure if these are your style, but the blue is to die for!!!

Link Blue 4 inch heel. They''re out of the price range you stated, but I think they''re lovely shoes, which is why I listed them.

Link Charles David Chill in Gold 5 inch heel

Link RSVP Allye in Gold, 4 inch heel

Link Charles David Chirp in gold, 4 inch heel

Link Promiscuous Luxurious in Gold, 4.5 inch heel

Link Pelle Moda Vino in gold, 4.5 inch heel

Link Max Studio Tanner in blue

Link Stuart Weitzman Navy satin ''NoBondGirl'' sandals

Oh my goodness, everyone, thank you so much!

I love so many of these shoes! I think an ivory shoe will probably be best, otherwise I''d be going with some of the blue options. I''m still trying to find an excuse for the Betsey Johnson shoe, grocery shopping maybe?

These are my favorites, that are closest to my price range. The lace Shannon Britts were beautiful, but they were almost $450 and I''m not sure I want to spend that much on shoes that will not be appropriate to wear again, ever.

Stuart Weitzman Chantelle

Martines Valero Olivia

Badgley Mischka Costa

I love the pink shoes suggested, all of them! I''ve been covetting the Badgeley Mischkas for a while, but I wear a size 8 and the Carlo isn''t available in that size anywhere on the net. I read that it is a difficult shoe to walk in. The review said the incline was really severe, so maybe it''s for the best that I can''t find it.

What do you think of these three pair? Do you think the ivory needs to match? If I remember correctly, my gown is a very rich ivory. Do you think it would be strange to wear a light ivory shoe?

Thank you again for all of your help. I have searched and searched on the net and didn''t see so many of these shoes! I can''t tell you how helpful you''ve been!

My vote is for the Stuart or the Martinez. I think the detail on them will go the best with your dress...I think the Stuarts will probably be best, but the Martinez would probably be more comfortable because of the platform. Any which way you go though, you''ll have gorgeous shoes.

As for the Ivory thing, I don''t really think it matters, but that''s really a decision you need to make. I''m not matchy matchy, so it wouldn''t bother me!
