Coat for San Francisco in November

Hi. I''m new here, but been a lurker for a while...

I''m taking a vacation to San Francisco the first week of November and I want to buy a new coat or jacket for my trip. I''d like something that I can wear with jeans, but could also dress up with black pants or skirts. My look most of the time is jeans (Seven for all Mankind is my favorite), heels/boots and fitted sweaters, shirts or trendy tops. Thanks for you help!

I think you should something that 3/4 length that hit right above the knees. It's more flattering than pants length which hit the hips.

Thanks for the ideas. I''m not sure what I''m looking for exactly. I''m assuming the weather will be fairly cool by then so these would work. Where are these coats? They look like a Nordstrom picture.

I don''t know what the "in" coats are this season...
