Hello!

I will be having a destination wedding in the late summer. I''m struggling very much with my wedding colors. I was initially going to use a sea-green (some call it pool) and a tangerine color. Then FI said we could budget to include the Manolo Something Blue shoe (we are standing on the beach barefoot, but will wear our shoes for the dinner and reception, or cocktail-still to be determined). So I wanted to incorporate that color in, but it doesn''t fit with my initial colors. I was also struggling to find a dress for my BMs that would fit their body types. Last week, iloveprincesscuts introduced me to Jasmine bridesmaids and I found two or three styles that I really liked when I went shopping this weekend. Even better, they have cobalt blue like the shoes!

So while I am trying to not go overboard and choose five different colors, is it okay to have 3? Furthermore, do these even go together? I am looking at a coral that is closer to red than orange and a turquoise color as well as the cobalt (simply because the turquoise will be much simpler to find than the cobalt).

All help is appreciated. Thank you!

we had four and a half wedding colors, haha (cobalt, aqua, eggplant, and a light green with random doses of ivory to break up the brightness), and we loved it. i highly recommend hitting up a paint store and snagging a bunch of paint color swatches so you can get a visual of what colors you like together. hope that helps! oh, and just for fun, my sister is getting married next year, and her colors are turquoise and tangerine!

I honestly don''t think the Manolo Something Blue''s would go at all. Love the colors you have chosen though (Similar to what I would like to have) If I were you, I''d pass on the shoes and get something else (and save some money too!) But, if you really must have the shoes.........

I really like an orange/tangerine blue/turquoise combo. I was considering it as well. If you love the shoes, wear them but you don't need to incorporate the cobalt blue into your colour scheme.

These are the Manolos I want for my wedding. If you like them, maybe you can go with something like this (a lighter blue) versus the Something Blue shoes

are you wearing a short dress? will the shoes even be visible? I doubt anyone would notice if the colour of your shoes was darker than the colour you choose for the reception etc... at least i wouldnt notice

See now, I think these could work!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!!!!

CDNinNYC and Dreamgirl - Good point, about not having to incorporate the whole color. I just didn''t want it to be surprising to see a random blue thrown in there...

Blackpaw - I think I am wearing a long dress (but I haven''t found THE ONE yet)...and since the shoes would only be for after we get off the beach, you are right that probably no one would see them.

My FI would ideally like NO COLORS...he wanted everything to be white or off white and to even ask the guests to wear white and off white....

Doodle- thank you for the great idea to go to a paint store! I am going to go to Home Depot at lunch.

CDNinNYC - I LOVE those Sedaraby''s, but I ordered the silver ones in November and I want a different Manolo to add to my collection...I am loaning my silver sedaraby''s to my sister for my wedding....but now I am reconsidering...yours are a gorgeous color!

I think I have to keep thinking because I am not convinced in any direction and I don''t want to have a random blue just because of my shoes....You guys are awesome to help me sort my thoughts out, I really appreciate it.

No advice on colors but those shoes are to die for! You are one lucky girl.
