I just purchased this ring guard. It has to go to my jeweler for any necessary repairs and a small resizing. Of course, with ring guards, they were meant to have a ring inserted in the middle, but since I have a wonderful jeweler I would like to discuss with him a colored stone being set in the open space. He'll give me the stone specifications and I'll end up sourcing it myself....hopefully with your help. Preliminarily, my questions are: what stone and what shape? I am thinking a east/west setting but don't know if an oval or marquis would look better. As for the stone, I love the look of a rhodolite garnet and I think one would be pretty as a permanent setting in this guard but I am open to any and all suggestions. Pricescope is the best "go to" place for advice and answers!
