Comfort Fit: Regular or Heavy... which?

I have been looking at e-weddingbands and I see that they have three different types of comfort fit, each with a different ring thickness.

Regular = 1.5mm, Heavy = 2mm

What is generally seen as "most" comfortable out of the three? I assume that it depends on ring width... ?

My fiance and I will be getting 2mm and 4mm rings, respectively. Which level of comfort fit would you suggest? If too think on her 2mm ring, I'd think the comfort fit would turn out being a tube on her finger... not that comfortable? That's less of a problem at 4mm, but still wondering which people like best.

Also, how accurate are the measurements given at e-weddingbands? Because they say the regular ring (flat inside) is 1.5mm and then that the comfort fit is also 1.5mm. However, I would think that comfort fit would be thicker as a result of the added curvature on the inside. Unless they just remove the edges... then it'd be the same I suppose.

Any and all comments appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, the edges are rounded off and the measurement is if the thickest point.

As you said, the heavier weight wouldn't make sense for your fiance's ring. It wouldn't be uncomfortable at all, but it is probably not the look you are aiming at (I love round wedding rings, though). As for your own, it really is a matter of taste. Some people enjoy heavier rings (I do). Can you arrange to try them on and see what you prefer?

My husband's wedding band has an elliptical section (3 mm wide, 2 mm thick): he says it's very comfortable (he never wore a ring before the wedding day because he has supersensitive skin, we both doubted he could wear a band without skin damage).
My wedding band has a round section (diameter is 3 mm): I love it... sometimes I think I should have bought an elliptical band too (3 mm is really thick), but I then I look at its perfect rounded shape and I fall in love again with it!!!

DH has a comfort fit titanium band and it is 2mm thick and slips on very easily and he finds it quite comfortable to wear. Never falls off - has to be purposefully removed.

None of mine are comfort fit, but based on that limited research, I'd go with the normal fit unless he's got very thick knuckles and thin fingers - then a heavier thickness may minimize movement when worn.

For an engagement purpose which can be the best according to you?
