Hey guys,
Finally completed the e-ring and proposed this past week while vacationing in Napa, Ca. Therefore, I can share the final product as I wanted her to be the first to see it. I must say this was a long process (~4months) but well worth it. Special thanks to all the PSers who helped me along the way. I hope I can help those on their search in the same manner. So here are the stats and pictures. Feel free to inquire further about anything along the process.
Diamond:
AGS 2.17ct Sq Cushion Brilliant J Si1 Ex/VG (Sourced by Perry at Leon Mege – Couldn’t say enough about Perry and the selection of stones. Searched far and wide for antique style cushion. There are many great vendors listed here on PS but in my opinion Perry gave me the best stone for the value. The stone actually appraised to as VS2 per David Atlas and truly stands out from any other cushion I saw outside of AVC which I will say is very close)
Setting:
Tacori inspired delicate platinum setting with 3 sided brilliant cut pave half way down 2mm milgrained shanks (0.26ct tdw) and two 2pt sapphires hidden under mounting along with Harry Winston double claw prongs. (Created by Brenda Cohen in Philadelphia – Great jewelry designer who really took the time to listen to my opinions and implement all my ideas. Took my design and made it a reality. I did consider going with Leon Mege and would highly recommend him as his work in person is exquisite but at over double the cost it put me way over budget.)
Ring box:
1940’s art deco ring box with custom made lining (can give tutorial on how to redo lining if people interested)
