I am not sure if this has been asked before (I did a search and couldn''t find a thread) but which stores offer you a registry completion policy. I know BBB does (is it 10% off???) anywhere else?
we registered at BBB and I got a 10% discount for registry completion, and it was one time use only. I dont know how long its good for.
we also registered at Marshall Fields and they gave us 15% off for completion, which can be used as many times as we want, but only for 90 days after the wedding.
There is a store called Jenss here, i dont'' know how big of a chain it is.. they carry higher end stuff like crystal and fine china.. they have 20% off any items on your registry for a year after the wedding I think.. and also they have something for china and flatware, its if 7 settings get purchased, they will give you the 8th free.. which is kind of nice..
Yeah the BB&B thing is one time only.. which is kind of silly, because you can always get that same coupon out of any magazine..
Macy's has a great one! They offer the couple a percentage back on purchases other people make for you, and you get a post wedding discount on unpurchased items.
Munchkin
ETA: I just checked on the specifics. You get 5% back on purchases other people make and 10% off post wedding (90 days after) purchases you make.
I think Michael C. Fina has the 10% off policy. Crate and Barrel''s isn''t as great- they send you a 10% coupon, but it''s a one-time only one, and has to be used within a certain amt of time.
Hmmmm, this is all really good to know before I decide where to register. I knew that many stores offer completion programs, but didn't know that most seem to have a one-time policy. That's great if you live in an area where you get a lot of cash gifts -- just add up your money and shop! But it's not so helpful if you need to save your own money -- and do it within a time frame -- to complete the registry. Oh well.
