Hey, I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas to connect two rings without it being permenant? Thank you for your time.

You mean as a temporary alternative to soldering?

I wonder if you can do it with little beads of metal connecting the two, which could be drilled/filed out to separate the rings. Or do you mean even more temporary than that?

Depending on the rings, your jeweler may be able to create a little notch in the e-ring and put an "arm" on the wedding band that fits into the e-ring''s notch, thus joining them so that they stay together on your finger without being soldered together. If you''re having rings custom made this is a definite possiblity. I have one word of advice if you choose to go that route, though (and this is speaking from seeing a friend do the same thing I''m talking about): if you ever plan to wear the wedding band alone, make sure the top side is polished like the rest of the ring is!

A friend of mine did the notch-and-hook/arm thing and the jeweler didn''t polish the top side of the wedding band because it would be flush against the e-ring. She was upset with that because she felt she couldn''t ever wear the wedding band alone with the top side being unpolished and the rest polished and shiny looking...both rings were platinum. KWIM?

I agree with the notching. Have you considered having a wrap around your ring??

What type of ring do you have??

I was looking for something where I could wear them together or separate. The engagement ring has 8 small diamonds on the side, so I don''t want to cover them permemantly. Can someone please tell me how to post a pic on here, then I will post a pic of the two rings. I got lucky with my other 2 on my right hand. One is an eternity band and the other has 5 blue diamonds and 4 regular diamonds so as long as the one with the blue is in the front they match up great.

What do you mean by a wrap?

Nevermind I can''t get a good picture. They are both white gold. The first one has four square stones that make up the main stone and then 5 bagettes going down each side, then on the front and back there are 8 round diamonds on each side. The other ring has 3 square stones in the middle with 2 bagettes on each side.
