We''re having four guest book/program attendants, because FI has several female cousins who he wanted to include in the wedding. I was planning to get them corsages and give them a small gift at the rehearsal dinner.
Yesterday I met with a florist, who said it''s been her experience that guest book/program attendants won''t really care if they have corsages. She told me that if I''m already planning on getting them a gift, a corsage wouldn''t really be necessary, and she''d rather see me spend that $100 on something else (like a nice dinner on my honeymoon).
At most of the weddings I''ve been to, the guest book attendants wore corsages. But I would think that if a florist is trying to talk me out of spending money with her, she''s probably not steering me wrong.
What do you think?
(Disclaimer: I feel sort of strange asking advice on such a minute detail, but I''ve been engaged for thirteen months and I''m a little decision-ed out.)
