Costco Diamond Studs

Hi All,

I purchased .50 ctw I+ VS2+ uncerted diamond studs from Costco. I am still fairly new at evaluating diamonds and would like opinions on these. I am leaning towards returning them and purchasing the .50 ctw preset studs from Whiteflash. (I have an ACA for my ering so I trust the quality of the preset studs and don’t need the upgrade option on ACAs.)

1: How would you rate the cut quality?
2: Would you keep or return for WF preset studs?

Costco studs: $700 (I+, VS2+)
Whiteflash studs: $975 (H/I, SI1)
Both are 14k with La Pousette backs.

If you are not expecting to take advantage of the Whiteflash upgrade option the Costco studs seem like a good buy.

Diamond A looks surprisingly good to me. Diamond B seems to have a larger table. So I am not sure how closely they are matched. However, in .25 stones, I doubt you could actually see the difference especially when they are on ears and would never be next to each other. I am partial to WF, too, due to having some of their diamonds. So it's kind of a toss up to me at this size.

Thanks for your comment. That’s kinda how I’m feeling too. I like that I wouldn’t have to worry about cut quality with the WF pair but I’m thinking at this size it really doesn’t matter.

Quick update. I exchanged the original pair for a different pair from Costco. They are beautiful and very well matched. I love the chunky arrows. Thanks again for all the help!
