FI got our honeymoon plane tickets with Delta Frequent Flier miles.
Now, it looks like there is a possibility that Delta pilots could strike... putting Delta out of business.
If they do, I don''t know what will happen to our honeymoon plans.

Hopefully, a strike can be avoided. Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Ahhh! I will definitely keep my fingers crossed!! Won''t they put you on another airline flight (sister company or something if it exists) if they do fold? Where are you going for your Honeymoon anyways?

Our tickets for our wedding are with Delta too, so I can understand your concern! As far as I understand, though, another airline will honor any and all tickets bought from a bankrupt airline that is no longer in service.
I have read that Delta is just bluffing about the going out of business stuff in order to keep the pilots from striking. Who knows?! It might be all bluff and bluster on both sides! Keeping my fingers crossed for both of us, though.

Hopefully what Amant said is true, but it can''t hurt anyway...

ohhh...our tickets to fly to WI for the wedding is delta and so is the one for my WI shower. I hope its just a bluff.

Saturn- where are you going on your honeymoon?

We''re going to Hawaii (Oahu) for a week.

From what I hear, a strike is unlikely. Of course, that won''t stop me from worrying about it...

Hey saturn, we are also going to stay at Oahu for a week! During what month are you going?

I''m sorry about the problem with the delta flight. Have you called the airline and find out your options in case of a strike?

We''re going in August.

From what I''ve seen, if the airline goes bust we should be able to switch to another airline for a fee. The only thing is that I''m paranoid about the fact that our tickets were bought with frequent flier miles. I mean, we''ve been saving them up for like 5 years, and it would really irk me if that becomes a problem.

When is your honeymoon?
