I finally did it- I sent my BF some pics of the WF ring styles I like. He says he already know where he will get the stone and have it set. Sooooooo, now it''s just a matter of how long it takes for him to actually take the ball and run with it.

My favorites were:
The U-prong with accent
The Cinderella Story (I think would go well with a Celtic wedding band, like he wants)
The classic 6-prong Tiffany (what he''ll probably pick)
And my ultimate in fantasyland, the Syphony half-bezel (even though he can afford it, he would never spend that much) I just loved drooling over it.

Now I REALLY need to start calming myself down- it''s up to him now. Breathe...breathe...breath...

Good Luck!
Can''t wait to hear what he chooses!

Nothing tries your patience like having to wait on someone else for somethin you want REAL bad! Good luck, and post a pic of the final product (on your finger of course

I may be at his place this weekend, so I''m really wondering if he will bring up the topic. I don''t think he has checked his email yet and saw the pics. He may have and is just playing it cool...?

It should start to get (frustratingly) exciting!

Ohhh yay! Let us know! Thats so exciting.

PS Matatora I PMd you.

I looked up that symphony half bezel setting (cause I am a newbie to the whole engagemnet ring thing )..................... and OMG!!!!!!!!!! IT MAKES ME WANT A HOTDOG (make that e-ring) REAL BAD!!!!!!!!! So cool.

So, the results are pretty suprising. He didn''t like the u prong with accent stone AT ALL. He thought it was ugly. He liked the Cinderella Story, but thought it might be a little too ''girly'' for my hands. (I have sort of large hands like my father). Thought the Tiffany 6 prong was too plain and asked why suggest a setting that''s only $50? I said ''well, that way you could put more effort into the stone.'' Of all things, he liked the symphony! He didn''t think the other ones had any "pop". He says ''ok, I just wanted an idea of what you liked.'' I asked if we could look at stones online as well, since I know he doesn''t know diamonds (neither do I really), but he has faith in the jeweler he wants to go to. I wanted to discuss the kind/size of stone I would like, but didn''t want to push it. When I mentioned the setting I like, I would always state that would look good with a 1 carat stone (hehehehehehe)

Now I wait.

Uggghhh...waiting is pure torture!!!!

When you feel yourself getting anxious, just take a deep breathe and remember that it''s in his court now (and he seems like a very responsive man)...if that doesn''t work, have a glass of wine. I can''t even count the number of nights I didn''t sleep because I was so excited and anticipating my ring.

Congrats and good luck!

You are too funny!

Humor is one way to get through the waiting stage. Other methods can be too expensive- like shopping, or too destructive- like becoming close buddies with Ben&Jerry to calm the nerves.

I emailed Whiteflash to ask if the styles I like could be made in yellow gorld, which they can. But it seems, if I''m understanding Jamie correctly, that I can only have a ring made with them- no other jewelers are authorized to make Whiteflash designs. So I may have to start looking at some other styles. That''s ok... as long as the stone is beautiful and the future propossal comes from the heart I''m not too concerned.

NY - can you provide the link to the Cinderella Story? I can''t seem to find it.

LA Jen- Here it is.

Thanks for posting the picture. I don''t think I will be able to get that though. I let him know that the ring can only be made with WF''s craftsmen and you have to send them the stone. He mentioned it the other day, once again, that he has his heart set on using this ''other jeweler'' so that was ok. OK for who?? I have no idea what type of work "they" do. The only example I have of their work is his sister''s ering. It is a beautiful 3-stone ring (with some knockout stones BTW) but that''s not what I would like.
My issue now- he wants an idea of what I like, but how do I get an idea of what designs they do since he wants to keep it a surprise? I''ll feel kind of weird calling them up with a slew of design questions.

Do you know who they are and where they''re located? I''m thinking you can do an anonymous "visit" and check out their designs. Who knows, they may also have a website.

I have the shop''s number. I''m in Boston and the shop is in a suburb about 45 mins. away. I''ve almost picked up the phone a million times in the past month! Unfortunately, they don''t have a site so I would have to go in to get an idea. Between work during the day and school at night I haven''t had the time.
