I have a few pics of my BGD cushion which was recently reset for your interest and comment. This is a 1.06 BGD Cushion, colour is K and it measures 6.0mm x 5.97mm. Sometimes it looks very white but depending on lighting it does show quite a bit of warmth.
I originally had it set in a stock setting but managed to snag a prong and it was never quite the same. This new setting is the BGD Melanie in 14k Rose Gold, with a platinum head.
I have driven the lovely Denise absolutely totally and utterly crazy over this as I find it so hard to decide (generally anyway) from the internet, having to imagine dimensions of the band width and that type of thing. I had originally sent my first trellis ER over in the hope the smaller princess (0.66ct) diamond could be replaced with my new cushion but it wouldn't have fit so I had to choose a new setting. I was tossing up between plain solitaire, diamonds in the band and 3 stone.
I had my original ER and wedding bands reset twice before realising I needed to upgrade the diamond instead! And after only 6 months this cushion is already in it's second setting, so you can imagine how much money I have spent on resets ... rather than upgrades! It's ridiculous. So, for a low value purchase I was a very high maintenance customer. Unfortunately I hadn't planned to have to reset the diamond so soon and it's really important to me that I love it and will be happy with it for a long time to come. I am in Australia where a 1.0ct diamond is a 'reasonable' size and although over 1.0ct is becoming quite common, diamonds are very expensive here so what I have is good by comparison.
I hope you will enjoy a few photos ... one of them shows my BGD cushion bracelet as well as a new Tiffanys pearl bracelet i received for Christmas (both from my husband who realises I love jewellery!). I will also post one that has a picture of all my current rings on my daughters little thumb.
This first one is the original stock setting I had the cushion in, which had rose gold prongs which looked great (IMO), along with a BGD diamond and pink sapphire eternity ring I got about 12 months ago!
