This is the ring that I recently presented. It is a 2.56 Cushion in a new style Danhov setting... Approx .59 in pave stones arranged in this elegant basket setting.

For us, it combines a relatively simple look with lovely pave details. Thanks to James Allen for help with the great stone, and assistance with great Danhov signed setting (through James Allen). This was a great experince!

It''s absolutely beautiful! I love the cushion, and the mounting is absolutely perfect.

For some reason, I didn''t really appreciate the mounting until I saw your handshots. It''s to die for!

Thanks so much for posting...

I want to echo this because although I''ve seen the Danhov settings on JA''s web site, they''ve always looked slightly chunky to me. However, your shots show that they are actually extremely delicate and finely done. And that cushion is HUGE! And BEAUTIFUL! Congratulations! I would love to see more specs on the stone. Did you get the stone from JA as well?

What a stunner!!! And so classy on the hand.

Oh, wow! That is a gorgeous cushion and stunning ring! I LOVE it!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the kudos. The ring shots probably suffer from the difficulty in using a compact digital camera to photograph the stone. The focus and exposure seems to be better balanced in the hand shots.

The stone is a 1.22 ratio, so it is a strong rectangle for a cushion. The stone is an H SI2, but it is eyeclean and bright. The inclusions are white flecks to the side of the table, and a small speck at the bottom of the stone that is not visible from the face. The light return is excellent, and this sparkles in almost every type of lighting. As for Danhov...I cannot say enough good things. James Allen made the arrangements, but they were local for me, so I was able to meet with them directly, even though I bought the setting through James Allen. Danhov showed me hundreds of settings and customized this one (normally used for rounds) for our longish Cushion.

The appraiser found the setting to be immaculate and graded the pave stones at G VS1-2.... Very nice that they pay attention to such quality

Something about the shape and setting makes this ring pop. Most folks seem to think it is larger than the 2.56 carats.

I took a gamble and did that all on my own as the presenter of the stone, and this was a total surprise to my fiance. She is totally enamored with the ring.... I could not have done this if it were not for the education that I got here on PriceScope.

Extra special thanks to Jim Schulz at James Allen....and the fine folks at Danhov

The stone is gorgeous and the ''throne'' you''ve chosen for it is DIVINE!!!! Those hand shots are killer - it looks just stunning!!

That setting is PERFECT for the diamond. I love when settings really enhance the stone and this is a great example. Just lovely.

Defender this is an amazing ring
The setting is perfect for that stunner of a stone.
Enjoy

Defender - I love this ring...I especially like the "solo" pic on the windowsill...so elegant...classic and stunning...

I was thinking the same thing. When I saw the first pic of the ring by itself, I was like "oh it''s nice". Then when I saw the hand shot, it''s absolutely gorgeous. The first pic just wasn''t doing the ring any justice.

Lovely lovely cushion. I am a cushion owner too with a pave setting. That ring looks so lovely on your fiancee''s hand. It is so white and sparkling. Congrats!
