Custom-made dress on EBay??

Hello~

I often see dresses up on Ebay that are clearly marked as being custom-made from China (and other places too)...........and they are SO much cheaper than thier original counterparts. The feedbacks for these sellers are 99% and higher and I''ve even checked to make sure that the feedback received actually came from gowns.

So, has anyone done this?? Actually ORDERED a custom made gown on ebay? IF so, were YOU happy? I am considering it but wanted to be smart about it........maybe you can recommend a certain seller???

If you can actually go to China and stay there long enought to get a custom made dress, I''d say go for it. I considered doing that in Taiwan. The dressmaker wanted a month to make Western white gown, but if you''ll be wearing a chipao / qipao, those usually take two weeks.

Hmm, I didn''t quite answer your question though... I''d be wary of ebay though, what''s the return policy look like?

i''ve read about Julius bridals, I''m not sure if they''re on ebay but i believe they''re made in china,
with a contact person in NYC.

i''d inquired about a dress from them and they were responsive. in the end i just got too nervous that i wouldn''t have time for something else if the worse happened and i didn''t like it, but i''ve read that some have had good experiences with them.

There are a few threads about this over at the wedding channel boards. Lots of people have had them made and they discuss different sellers. It''s on the dream gowns board I believe. Julius Bridal has its own thread and they''re supposed to be very good.
