Custom oval bezel necklace from James Allen

I embarked on a mission to have a custom necklace made in late October. I wanted a an oval diamond in a fixed bezel set east-west. After much back and forth with James Allen I settled on a diamond in early November and placed the order for the necklace to be created in platinum on Nov 7th.

I was so excited when the necklace arrived on Nov 29th..until I opened the box and discovered they had mistakenly set it north-south what a total bummer. So I contacted James Allen, they verified that it was their mistake and had me return the necklace for 'repair'. This meant I had to drive the necklace to FedEx to drop it off for shipment...the closest FedEx is 40 minutes from my house But, I hauled myself out to FedEx and dropped it off. I was very frustrated to have to wait longer for the repair. When I received a shipping estimate a few days later for the repair, it was predicted to ship "on or before Dec 24". bummer, I would have to wait almost an entire extra month!!

Fast forward to Dec 12, I received a shipping notice from JA!! yay!! But, they sent it 2 day FedEx, so I have to wait over an entire weekend til Monday for my necklace!!! argh!!

Dec 16 finally dawns, the FedEx man didn't show til 4pm!! Usually he comes to my house around 11AM. But, low and behold, the necklace is finally right, and finally MINE, ALL MINE!! I love it!

You must be getting a ton of compliments on it! Are you planning to wear it for every day, or is it an "occasion" necklace? I'd wear it everywhere if it were mine. And I think that your use of the oval east-west for a bezel solitaire is very creative indeed and has resulted in a classic necklace with a modern, sophisticated twist. I have not seen anything like it. Kudos!

My plan is to wear this necklace pretty much everyday, which is why I decided to invest in platinum over white gold. I love it and I think it goes with jeans, business casual or formal attire!
