I’d like to share my custom cutting project of a Zircon!
Jeff White is cutting one for me from a large piece (16.44 ct) of Cambodian rough material that he purchased in Tucson this February. He says the material is a nice medium tone/saturation blue.
The goal is for an OEC design but if not possible then a MRB in the range of 5-5.8 ct. I have very specific parameters because this Zircon will be set in my VC Lillian halo that held my 4ct OEC.
My piece is one of the upper left 2 pieces in the photo below. He also sent me mock ups of optimization of each cut design. Ignore the color in them, it’s not true to the real gemstone color.
I’ll return with photos once the gemstone is cut, then with the completed ring.
