Cut quality for tapered baguette side stones

Hi Pricescope! I'm in the very early stages of engagement ring research. I have decided on a round center stone with two side tapered baguettes, similar to below. It would likely be custom though as I'd like the side profile to be more curvy/swoopy and less linear like most stock settings I'm finding seem to be. Since it'd be custom, I'm wondering if I should be concerned about the cut of the side stones. To my knowledge, I don't think cut grade even exists for baguettes, but I know you guys would be the ones to ask. Is an "ideal cut tapered baguette" something that should be pursued? If so, are there any vendors you'd recommend in particular?

Congratulations!
I don’t know if there are ideal cut baguettes…but I always ask for top quality vvs clarity and the same color baguettes to match my diamonds. I have a similar style to what you have shown. I find that the less inclusions in the baguettes makes them sparkle more.

I also am not sure if side stone baguettes get an ideal grade. I can only tell you about my experience with side stones… I ask for a high quality cut, VS range clarity, and a color grade that compliments whatever main stone the side stones will be sitting next to (ring in my avatar is an example) and the ring turned out great. I’m sorry if this doesn’t help much, I’m sure others will chime in!

Side stones like these dont usually have GIA paperwork . No "Ideal" cut grade for baguettes that I'm aware of. Let whoever is
creating your setting source the baguettes. Tell them what color/clarity etc you want. Small baguettes don't have a lot of sparkle IMO. I had a setting like this and one girlfriend thought the baguettes were metal. They were pretty small though (like 8 points).

What wedding band do you plan on wearing with it? My ring was a pear with 2 baguettes and I had a really hard time finding
any kind of wedding band that went well and set well with it. I think it will be easier with a round center though.

Proportions of the baguette (L:W) and it's taper, as well as the baguette dimensions relative to the center stone and finger size are critical to achieving the look you want.

Different benches/artists will have different interpretations of what they think is ideal. I would browse through portfolios of several different vendors to see whos interpretations and proportions for this style you prefer. Or use those examples to help you communicate a "like this" and "don't like this". Leon Mege would be one of my first stops for inspiration photos.
