Are these different from the stones you posted before, or the same ones? Can you post pics?
I’d rather the D as the color is something you can with the naked eyes compared to clarity which you can’t.
I wish I had this dilemma between four carat stones
I don't like the 4.01 F color. The crown angle is steep and the stone is deep, which isn't something I like.
I like both the 4.02 options much better. My personal favorite is the D if choosing between them because the difference between VS1 and VVS2 won't be visible to the naked eye. I also prefer the arrows in the D color, plus it saves you 4K AND you get a D color. So for me it would be an easy choice
I think I agree but believe it or not the BN rep and a so called independent expert (i consulted and paid for) were in favor of the F VS1 (even with the angle issue) over the D?? The F VVS2 just came on line.
i know and he said he felt the F would have better light performance. I was stunned a little bc I did put both in the HCA and the D came out much better (it has the better angles). His reply was you cant use the HCA other than ruling out really bad cuts
2.3 i believe and very good in all 4 cats
the D came back very good in light return excellent in the rest
Can you get light return images for these stones? I would think the vendors would be falling over themselves to provide them at this price level?
Yeah, ignore people telling you to get the F VS1. Its objectively worse both on paper and to the eye. Get the D
The D is much better.
i asked about that to James alllen they said they stopped doing that in march 2020?

Please show pics when u get the stone u decide on
I didn't see the F VVS2 when I just searched James Allen. I wanted to compare the videos of the D and F. The D looks great, and the still photo of the F looks outstanding if it is still available. I'd have to see the other video to tell you which I'd favor, but either would be a fabuous choice.
The third stone would be a pass for me, because I wouldn't buy that stone without an ASET image to show light return and potential leakage. The first two I would feel are safe to buy with report and video.
I really hate to hear that you paid someone for bad advice. Incidentally, I never pay any attention to sales reps for big virtual diamond companies. You'll get your best advice here by seeing a variety of opinions. It's free, too!
I should have noticed the F VVS2 was BN! Sorry about that!
Both the D VS1 and F VVS2 are outstanding choices. I'd be thrilled with either one. I generally feel that anything above VS1 clarity is unnecessary because VS1 is so clean, so I guess that and the slight price difference give the D VS1 the advantage. I still like them equally, though.
