The Core Secrets thing I ordered finally came. So since it is the weekend of the Vols game and it is not a great idea to go walking at night I decided to do this instead. I did the Intro (Fundamentals) and then the Give me 20. I was suprised how diffrent they are. I do think that the first however is a great warm up. I think I may do 1-2-1 from now on. I do think it will help me work on my arms which will be nice. May is not so far off and I sure there will be a ton of photos taken at graduation.

You will have to keep us posted on the results from core secrets. Sounds like a good program.

I barely made it out of bed this morning. A friend of mine is in town from NY city and a group of us went to a columbian steakhouse for dinner, so yummy and so much red wine. Certainly didnt make it to the gym. The plan is after work, so we will see. The scale said a number this morning I was hoping to never see again! I really need to get my eating back on track!

I am so sick of not getting to work out because my son is sick AGAIN!!! I get sooo frustrated! I seriously think there is something wrong with this house because we have been so sick this year.

Sorry, just needed to vent.

That''s horrible about your house, Pebbles. Have you gotten it checked out for mold?

I had my trainer this morning. Very good workout. She''s so encouraging that it''s nice. She constantly tells me that she can definitely see changes and that my balance and form are improving rapidly.

Dinner last night was good... I had fish, but too much wine. My stomach hates me this morning for that!

I''m going out to the yummiest sushi place in the world tonight. I''m so excited. I plan to over eat, and enjoy every second of it!

Happy Friday!

Actually, we did have it checked out for mold and the company detected "moisture" behind all 3 walls in the shower. They said you can assume there is mold back there if there is moisture back there. They use some really sensitive (and expensive) meter to detect the moisture. The only way we would know for sure if there is mold behind the wall is to look when we tear it down.

Unforutnately, to redoo the bathroom we''re looking at a big chunk of change. In the $thousands. So we have been holding off for now. But I can''t imagine that if there is just mold in the bathroom (no moisture was detected in the rest of the house) that it would cause us all to be so sick all the time. We found out that the people that lived in the house before us had mold in the basement but had it "remediated" before we bought the house, therefore that wasn''t disclosed to us when we looked to buy it.

Our building inspector was a total idiot and missed that plus a lot of other things. I would love to move but we can''t right now. We''re hoping maybe soon. I love this house but I hate it at the same time.

Sorry to vent. At least my little guy is feeling better today, but not well enough for me to go to the gym.

Mold is insiduous!! I had a friend who had it in one small area of the kitchen from a leaky roof behind a wall, but it was being carried through the walls and the ducts or something...well he ended up with horrible allergies for about a year and then got a ''brain tumor'' which was small and malign and is being shrunk through medicines...and his roommate ended up with Lupus which is incurable.

They are convinced that it had something to do with the house. They lived there for 3-4 years before they finally decided to get out. They adored the house which is why it was hard to leave and it wasn''t until they both were sick that they decided to go.

Anyway, I would really get that checked out and taken care of, and leaving it there is a horrible idea. It can make you VERY sick....you should do some research on it. It can be carried through the ducts as well, mold spores easily travel by air and that is also the air you breathe.

OMG, Pebbles, you should definitely have that fixed ASAP. Mara''s description of what happened to her friends sound terrible. Do you live in the SF bay area? If you do, my father is a contractor and can get your bathroom done for a discounted price.

As for working out, I won''t be able to tonight since my coworker is leaving the company, we''re taking her out for dinner and drinks. We''re going to this Cuban & Carribean restaurant called Cha Cha Cha. They serve delish tapas and their sangria is SO GOOD! It looks like I''ll be consuming many many calories tonight!

I didn''t do too good last night too. I thought I was staying home for dinner, so I would be having a light one, but we ended up at the movies and I ended up having nachos, pizza, chicken strips, and curly fries for dinner! It was delish tho!

I''ll get back on track tomorrow.

Oh and re: the CORE...I have that...it''s a good workout with the weights and the BALL. I adore the ball..situps on the ball definitely a good thing.

Today is just some lap walking..we are going to dinner tonite in SF with some in-town friends so that should be a food-gasm of yumminess.

Oh Pebbles that is just awful!
AP- It sounds like you are much more motivated when you are with your trainer. Perhaps if she gave you specific exercises in a predetermined order for you to do, either at home or the gym maybe that would give you a little puch on the days you are not with her.
Mara- I love situps on the ball! That is my favorite thing, when I do them that way I do not feel any strain in my neck or shoulders. I have been doing those since jan and I am hoping the rest of the program will suit me as well.
Mrs Flutter- Steak you say? Yummy!!! Nothing like red meat to make the day better. It is just one day perhaps you are jsut retaining a bit of water from last night?
