Morning All!

I did 8.67 miles with 15 lbs. It feels so nice to be outside in the brisk fall air. How is everyone feeling today?
 
Good thanks, had a brisk walk with the horses, just had my second pint of water and cleaned out the stables! That helps tremendously with me, exercise where I actually do something like mucking out, strimming the fields, carting wheelbarrows, sweeping the yard etc. I will be going shopping for new jeans soon, my old ones are a bit saggy in places

Oh hey now saggy jeans= getting fit! Nice work! What time zone are you in? Mucking out stables, that sounds like a great arm workout!

Good morning! I had to work early, so no gym till after work. But i am gong to go! All the ladies that work in the kitchen keep telling me i''ve gotten skinny and not to loose anymore weight.... too bad the scale doesnt agree with them.

Lorelei where in the Uk are you? I got up at the crack of dawn to try to call my uncle in scotland, but I can never get in touch with him! They still dont know I''m engaged!
 
I am in the East area, about 7 - 8 hrs drive from Scotland. The West coast in the States is 8 hours behind, the East 5 hours if that helps, Scotland is on the same time as me.

Good morning all.

I had my trainer this morning and she gave me a tough workout. She made me go on the stairmaster for 10 mintues, and kept adjusting the speeds so I was completely drenched after only that short amount of time. I did less than 15 minutes before she got there, so it was good. She took a good time stretching me afterwards. I just don''t know what''s wrong with me... I can''t relax. My shoulders are always up to my ears and my hips are just locked in place. She said I''m surprisingly flexable for how tense I always am. I might just have to get a massage this weekend!

I had a fairly big breakfast -- two big chicken apple sausages (from the butcher, not packaged), but it''s now 11 AM and I''m hungry already. I hate this! When I have an extremely unhealthy two eggs and cheese on a roll, I''m full for 5 hours. With working out and a healthy breakfast, things that should curb my appetite, I''m hungry after only 2.5 hours. Argh!

Only 8 more days until vacation, so I better get to the gym every day until then! I''m also going to be proactive (ie insane) and bring my workout clothes to the tropics with me. I know the hotel has a gym... hopefully I can drag myself there between pina coladas!
 
Try good old porage oats for breakfast, that stuff sticks to your ribs and you can''t face food again until at least lunchtime

That''s what I usually have! It doesn''t work much better than what I had today. I think it also has to do with my ''time of the month.'' But geez, I''m so hungry already!!!

Matadora, do you use ankle weights? I was wondering what the 15 lbs referred to and if you found them helpful.
 
I do sometimes. 15lbs is around my waist. I also use wrist and ankle weights. If you want to use them I do think they are wonderful, but for walking only, no running. I would also recomend the Reebok ones that are all neoprene and dont have straps. The ones with velcro straps cut and rub through your socks.
 
Hey everyone!

I played one hour of tennis yesterday with Sam and also did 2 sets of jump rope. Boy! Jumping rope is hard! I only did 30 seconds each set and I was out of breath. Sam and I had such a blast playing tennis. We both don't really know how to play very well, but the running and hitting balls was a great workout for my entire body. I was very tired afterwards.

Tonight I'm planning to do 3 miles on my elliptical and some weights.
 
I went to the Merry Mart and walked for about two or three hours looking fun things to buy for Christmas presents. I am not sure how far I went, but it was nice.
 
That is really impressive! I wish I had your drive.
