Good Morning Ladies! Starting off the day with 10.41 miles.

Since the rain stopped in the evening the air is still brisk and light. Wonderful for outdoor exercises. I hope that everyone else gets off to a positive start today!

You''re doing so great Matadora! How long does it take you to walk that distance? Do you walk around a track?

I had my trainer this morning. I did about 20 mintues before she got there, but had to do most of it on the treadmill since the elliptical machine was taken up. I have to go slow otherwise my shin splints act up, so not much of a calorie burn. But hey, exercise is exercise.

I''m thinking of getting a food scale so I can measure my food and make sure I"m eating well. I really hate doing that though... I just want to be able to live a normal life and not quanitfy everything.

I''m a little nervous because I"m going to a baby shower this weekend where my boyfriend''s ex will be. She''s tall and skinny (but looks suspiciously like a horse

). I wish I were thinner but... I''ll just have to make other friends since the only person I know is the mommy-to-be. Too bad drinks won''t be served!

You are doing really well too AP! I have a food scale (digital 8$ wal-mart) I used it for a little while but it was apin to wash it between every thing so now I am sticking to pre fab foods...
I do not walk around a track that would kill me. I have a route that goes up and down hill around my campus, I walking the hilly parts seems to keep my legs from hurting. I wear a pedometer (my stride is a whooping 22") and just walk. I stick to certain roads that the police told me would be safest for a female walking alone to be on. It sucks not to explore new side streets but I feel like it is best/smartest to listen. I walk at least one loop from my apt to the hospital and the around my campus which is 4.5miles our quad is .7 miles and I do ins and outs all around on the streets to try and keep things from getting boring. If traffic is too heavy I will take of my pedometer and just go up and do the stairs for a little while. Lately I have been doing that on every outing because it feels nice. My miles are getting quicker, I am hoping by the time I leave here that I will be able to walk a 10min mile.

I fell off the diet/workout wagon, so that''s why I haven''t been posting

I''ve been eating a ton of costco muffins and donuts for breakfast.....

Anyhoo, I went back to the gym yesterday, and barely ran a mile on the treadmill before I started cramping on the side of my abs. So I went on the elliptical, but lost interest after 15 minutes. I don''t know what''s happening, I''m just feeling so unmotivated lately. I think it''s because winter is coming, and I''m going into my hibernation mode. Dh and I have been getting to bed around 10 PM, which is super-early for us. We''re usually up''til at least midnight. We''re just soooo tired lately. I wonder if it''s someething in the air.

I''ve been going to be super early too. I have lots of trouble sleeping, and I actually take a prescription pill every night, but I''ve more tired than usual.

I bought a pedometer but soon realized that it was sorely inaccurate. I tested it by standing up and sitting down. Apparently, I walked 14 steps by just sitting! So, I still carry it in my bag but I don''t use it any more.

I really want to exercise this weekend. I''m hoping for at least one day since the baby shower is early on Sunday. Motivation, motivation, motivation!

Good start Mat!!

I''m planning to walk to my never-ending-stairs tonight and do some light weights when I get home. Trying not to eat any more junk, since I had a big dinner last night and 4 shots of grey goose......

I haven't really posted this week since this is my week off from workouts...but I have been walking a bit this week and sticking to my eating habits...we did have McDonald's on Tuesday night which was yummy as we haven't had it in months. But other than that I've been very good. Had my egg white scrambled eggs today with tomatoes and a bit of cheese, having hearty chicken soup from Whole Foods today for lunch...and then tonite we'll have a naughty dinner I'm sure, maybe pasta...but my weekends are free.

I also don't drink much (if at all..except sangria!!) and I also don't drink anything but water and some iced tea (unsweetened) during the week so I think that keeps me somewhat on track even if I have a bad night or day. So many calories can be consumed with things like sodas.

The weather is starting to change a bit which is nice, I prefer walking when it's a bit crisp outside vs too warm. So I'm stocking up on zip-up hoodies and long pants and the like for the wintery days when I can go out and walk. I also need a new rainjacket for when I am out and it starts to drizzle.

I got my first one from QVC, it gave me my heart rate as well. But I lost it and did not want to spend another 20$ So now I have a cute little 3$ one from Wal-Mart. I clip mine just behind the hip line or on my socks. Either seems to work allright. I tested it by going a known distance, the out rim of the track. Most of the pedometers work by making a connection from the motion of your body. I am sorry yours is mis-behaving. I love having mine with me other wise I would be stuck doing large loops and that is it!

I didn''t work out either, unless you can count lifting your fork and champagne glass to your mouth!

Husband and I started our anniversary weekend off with a fabulous dinner out and now I''m totally stuffed. I look 5 months pregnant, I kid you not.

whats wrong with me? I woke up hung over and didnt eat too bad, then I had a candy bar. I went to the gym and worked out on the eliptical machine for a half hour. Then at work, i couldnt stop eating. I had a cinnamon bun and a lemon bar. As if that isnt bad enough we went to mcdonalds at 10:00! ANd i had a cheeseburger. I am afraid of the scale! I need to do better, but this weekend we are going to my parents for the packer game, you think i would be more careful. I will be engaged in a week, but no...I just eat.

If I do not start doing better with willpower I am not going to get engaged... Right now I think I could double for a beached whale. But come on that is sexy right? I never got around to eating until 9pm which meant I was so hungry that me will power had been left far behind. Really I am going to go to bed now. My eyes are starting to blur and I do not think I can get any more work done this evening.
