Well, I had a great workout last night, so hopefully I can follow it up with a good one tonight. Last night I did arms, stomach, and legs with the weights and interval running on the treadmill. That was the first time I had ever tried interval running, and I did pretty well! I did a mile of interval at 4 miles per hour for 0.05 miles followed by 8 miles per hour for 0.05 miles (then repeat over and over again) then I did a mile of regular jogging at 6.5 miles per hour, then one more mile of interval running just like the first mile. I was surprised how easy it was to run 8 miles per hour for 0.05 miles. I thought it would be a lot harder!

Tonight I am definitely going to do some interval running again along with regular jogging. It makes the time go so much faster on the treadmill. I''m going to give it a rest with the weights though.

It seems like everyone''s getting discouraged. Not as many people are posting about their workouts. Come on, everyone, let''s workout!

Well done Coda - that''s amazing!!

You will be getting so fit and trim, good work! Well my workout today has begun, have had to shift some more huge bales of hay from one area to prepare for another delivery of 20 later today which I will have to stack myself

I think I will be able to give the arm exercises a rest for today after doing all that

Hi girls!

Congrats to everyone who is doing so well on your workout routines! I''m impressed. I''m all dressed and ready to take Jelly out for our morning walk. He''s looking at me and whining, all ready to go. Just came on here to get some inspiration! (And to check out any new diamonds!)

coda72, that is fabulous! I actually really love interval training, but I have a funny story about it. The first time I decided to give it a shot, I wanted to do 50 meter sprint followed by 50 meter walk, and so on. It was really early in the morning and my brain wasn''t yet awake when I did the conversion to miles, and somehow I was off by factor of TEN! So, according to my math I would have to sprint for .3 miles then walk for .3. Now, I grew up in Europe and knew 50 meters wasn''t that long of a run, but somehow, I found myself on the treadmill at 8.5-9mph trying to run .3 MILES and finding it unbelievably difficult! and I thought what the hell? I am in TERRIBLE shape, I cannot even sprint for 50 meters?!?!?! I was all discouraged (not to mention deadly tired

) after the workout, and called my boyfriend to confess what a horrible shape his GF is in ... and he goes "UHM, .3 miles is 500 METERS, NOT 50!"

Could you imagine how humiliated I was? I have an engineering degree, but can''t convert meters to miles.

Anyway, this morning I ran three miles at around 6.5mph, and it felt pretty good. I''m taking the weekend off after 5 workouts this week - I figure I deserve to rest up a bit.

While I''m here, I thought I''d share another quick tid bit.

My boyfriend, who is very much into fitness and who was the person to really introduce me to weight lifting three years ago says to me yesterday "You know, my goal has always been to workout 4 days a week, but I think I''m going to start doing 5. You have really been an inspiration."

I just about fell over. But it goes to show: it''s not perfect bodies that inspire... it''s hard work and true determination that''s really admirable. Which is why I admire all of you gals, for sticking to it even when you really really don''t feel like it.

Happy Friday.

Yep Virginia - moving hay bales and stacking them is an excellent workout for the arms, the only trouble is that may arms are now so sore

Hi ladies.

I had my trainer this morning and did almost 40 minutes before she got there. I discovered that reading while walking really makes the time fly! I was bad yesterday and didn''t work out at all.

I have my weigh-in tomorrow and I''m, once again, really worried that I gained. I wasn''t so great with the eating and drinking this week. We''ll see tomorrow though!
