Morning Ladies!
35.gif

How is everyone doing? I did my first full day of dieting yesterday. I have roped my friend with the new puppy into being my diet buddy. We are not going to follow the meal plan, but we are going to go walking for 60-90 minutes each morning with the dogs and then do the Bridal Bootcamp workouts every night.
Amanda Panda- How are your training sessions going?
Lorlei- whats going on?
Mrs Flutter- are you still cycling to the gym everyday?
BG& FFF I miss ya’ll I hope you start posting again soon!

Hey Mat, I haven''t been feeling too well the past week so haven''t been on much

I think I have lost more weight due to nerves and lack of apetite, lady in the grocery store noticed and admired my little legs! I am still trying to stick to the program and hoping to get a treadmill in a while. Your new routine sounds good and great for the doggies!

Howdy!

I had my trainer this morning, but I wasn''t feeling that great so we took it easy doing a lot of stretching and pilates/yoga stuff. I''m determined to do well tomorrow!

Eating this weekend wasn''t so great since I went out to two fancy dinners. I was good though and ordered fish. I''m trying not to eat a lot of red meat, but I might have to give in tomorrow night since the bf will be away.

I had my first weigh-in at weight watchers on Friday -- down 1.6 pounds! Truthfully, I wish I would have been down more, but I''ll take what I can get!

I''ve never posted in the workout thread before, but hey why not!

So I started eating healthier last week and also started going to the gym. It was a slow start but i''m getting into it. I just HATE going to the gym because it''s always so crowded, you have to wait 20 mins just to get on a cardio machine. I also commute 1.5 hr each way to and from work on the worst freeway in the country so by the time i get home, the last thing I wanna do is go to the gym! Alas, this morning at 4:30AM i was at the gym. I can''t believe I actually got myself out of bed an hour early to workout, but I feel great!
Honestly, reading your guys posts motivates me. It seems like all of you have jobs and/or school and a bunch of other stuff going on in your life but you all still make time to workout. So thanks!

Last nite I forced myself to go to kbox after a HUGE sunday night meal of steak and twice-baked potatoes. It felt really good to go and I was glad I was motivated....there were only 3 of us so we had a GRUELING workout where my heart-rate was so high I thought I was going to pass out but I made it and it feels good today to have a bit of the sore burn going on.

Today I am going to do my ~2m walk around the park this afternoon with Portia and my iPod and then stretching, some arm exercises (which I decided a week ago to start doing daily, they are the ''make small circles'' with your arms ones, 30 front, 30 back, then 30 foward open palm and 30 back open palm and then 30 up open palm and 30 down open palm, they actually do burn a bit when you are doing them which is good!!) and some situps and leg lifts and then call it a day.

7 Whole Grain Honey Puffs Kashi for breakfast and coffee, lunch is my WF salad which I already bought and dinner will be grilled chicken and veggies from WF. I do find that planning out my meals either the day before (just mentally, I don''t write it down) or the day of (morning) makes it easier to stick to things..and weekends are my free days for the most part.

Good luck gals. Stick with it, bikini season is just around the corner!!

whew. OK, I know its been a really long while since I posted in this thread but I"m glad to see it has started up again. I am currently less than 5 weeks from my qualifying exam (probably the most terrifying experience in graduate school), and so I''m studying hard but also trying to be good about going to the gym at least enough to maintain, and eating better than I was over the holidays. The good news is the weight I lost before (approx. 25 lbs total) appears to be staying off, at least as far as fitting into my jeans OK goes - I think I gained a bit over the holidays but it seems to be coming off again now that I''m back to a normal routine. I''ve founda a gym buddy who also is a student in my lab and that definitely helps me get to the gym. So my goal between now and February 20th (the fateful exam) is to keep going to the gym and maintaining, and then after that I''d like to lose maybe 10-15 more lbs between then and the wedding in July.

Good work ladies and keep it up - I will try to be better about posting but I like to check in once in a while even if I don''t write anything

That is great AP!

Hello again to everyone- I sure missed being here!

Tonight I rejoined WW- back in the group with the leader I find so motivating, I think for me that makes a huge difference.

You all are doing so well! Congrats to Amanda for her weight loss, yay Miss Matatora for commiting to BBC- someone gave me the book so I''m going to read up and start doing the workout, too. and I so agree, Mara, that planning makes all the difference! I really can control my diet when I shop smart, take the time to prepare food ahead of time and then remember to take it with me

and welcome Hayo- your early gym time is a real inspiration!

I''m going to try to post again daily and make this improvement time about ME- I''ve spent a little too much time taking care of other people recently and need to be a little selfish for a change!
