Well, since I was unable to sleep I decided to get up and go walking. I went 8.45 miles and kept up a decent pace. Now I guess I will just get ready for things. I went up 2lbs this past week...not surprising though.
 
I don''t know how you walk so much! I keep thinking about it in New York terms... 8 miles is 160 blocks! That''s about the distance of me walking to work from my apartment... and I work and live on opposite ends of Manhattan!

I was okay this weekend and didn''t eat or drink too much (except for last night... but we can''t all be perfect). I did 45 minutes of cardio on Saturday plus some lunges and weights. This morning I did 45 minutes on the elliptical trainer. No weights or anything though. I hope to go tomorrow morning as well, but we''ll see. I''ve given my bf the job of official ''kicker-out-of-bedder.'' He did a good job this morning... Although, I may not go to work tomorrow since it''s the Jewish New Year... I could go in the afternoon. Nothing like a little praying while sweating!

i went this morning as well. i did 30 minutes on the elliptical on the highest incline. i alternated between 0-4-8 resistance.
 
Good job ladies! I havent been to the gym yet today, i actually have been sitting in front of the computer for nearly 3 hours now. What a wasted day off! I went to the gym all weekend and despite my insane consumption of baked goods this week, I didnt gain a pound! (didnt loose any either)

SO i need to go to the apple store to fix my ipod again! (they are such crap) and then off to the gym. I asked my bf what he wanted for dinner and he said stir fry. SO i guess I should go buy some veggies and tempeh!

Heres to a healthy week!
 
AP- I took yesterday off and this morning it felt weird to go walking. I am just in nutty. Walking helps me think, and work out what I am trying to say in papers.

I did my weigh in yesterday morning and I lost 0.2 pounds! Yay!

Losing any amount makes me happy.

I didn''t do well yesterday with my eating though. We went to my friend''s lil girl''s bday party and ate a lot!! So I''m gonna have to work hard to make sure it doesn''t show on the scale this Sunday.

Sam is unable to work out with me tonight, so I''ll be working out at home. Prob hop on the elliptical for 15 mins and do some light weight training.

Mat, I don''t get how you can gain 2 pounds, you walk like nearly 10 miles everyday!!

Lately I have been walking closer to 14-20 a day....but it is all about my eating habits. If I eat badly one or two days it is going to show up like that! One Reese Cup (or half the pack) take 5 miles to walk off.I dont eat those but it gives a nice idea of how much harder it is to lose the weight once it has found its way onto your body. Honestly I am just glad it wasnt 10lbs this week, I have done that before and it tends to discoruage me greatly.
 
I went another 7.37 miles. Feels better to move a bit faster.
 
I was reading self magazine today and it said in there that in order to work off a baskin robbins mocha freeze you would have to walk for 3 hours. I thought to myself, who would ever walk three hours??? But then i thought matatora probably walks near that, or so it seems. Anyway it was an interesting article and made me realize how much damage my poor eating habits are!

I went to ballys today (i belong to two gyms, I only keep ballys because i got it years ago and its really cheap now) ANYWAY, went to the apprentice class and stayed for the pain in the butt class. Pretty good workout. My bf and I also went on an hour walk tonight. We actually walked pretty fast, since I wanted to be home for Laguna Beach!
 
Wow Flutter and Mat! You guys do a great job with your workouts! I applaud you for having the energy and strength to do so much.

As for me, I came home and did 22 minutes on my elliptical, which is 3 miles and afterwards I did some light weight training for 5 minutes. I only worked out for half an hour, but I feel really good and am very proud of myself!

I''m the type that gains weight very easily too. (Don''t you hate those girls who can eat anything they want, never work out, and never gain a pound?!?

I have several friends like that and they eat lots of junk food.) I eat a little bit of junk food and boom, it shows on me.

I''m trying very hard to stay away from candy, dessert, chips, etc. I think I''ve been doing pretty well lately, except for yesterday (went to my friend''s daughter''s bday party, so ate a whole lotta junk).

I''m sick of the way I feel about my weight right now. I''m at my heaviest ever! So I''m very determined to loose some weight. I''m not trying to get back to my thin self from before, but to get to a very healthy weight.

I''m positive we can all get there. We just have to try very hard, and with all the support here, it makes it so much easier. Ladies! We can do it! We''ll get there together!

MsFlutter- I know they are right! Who wants to have to walk 15 miles for a single drink? They did one of the starbucks coffees a while ago...it was something like 40 or 50 miles becuase of all the fat and sugar... thank goodness Diet Coke is fat free or I would never get to come inside again.
