Helllllo ladies!

Just finished 2.5 miles on the treadmill, yea! I have defeated the curse of the boobs! Anyway, I think I got into some anerobic activity there for a little while but I don''t have a heart rate monitor so it is hard to tell.

Regardless, I feel a tiny bit better about the junk food spree last night, although I am still a little sick to my stomach from it (gives you an idea of how little I eat prossed food, huh)

I really MUST do my situps more regularly though or I am afraid I will injure by back with the running...

Good for you doing your workout early in the morning! I envy people who can do this. I go to work so early that there''s just no way I''m getting up at 3:30 am to work out . I''m one of those people who puts off working out as late in the evening as I can. I try to get on the treadmill by 7 pm, but sometimes it''s not until almost 8 pm.

I typically take off weekends, so I hope to put in a good workout tonight. I''ll do the weights for my arms, stomach and legs and some more interval training. I''m really liking the interval training! I had a really good workout on Friday with it even though I was dead tired. I did 0.2 miles at 8 mph, then 0.1 miles at 4 mph and repeated that for 2 miles straight. I then did another mile at a steady 6.5 mph. For anyone that wants to get in shape fast, this method really seems to do it. I''m so glad I read Stermag''s post about this and tried it out.

No arm exercises for me for a few days, after trimming the trees they feel as if they are going to drop off

And I still have more to do. Food wise I have been bad and haven''t been eating enough, a bowl of cereal in the morning and some crispbreads for lunch and that''s it. Not good.

Jelly and I were doing our morning walk when we walked by a neighbor's window. I did a double take because she was standing in her kitchen naked!!

I have a feeling she forgot to close her blinds from the day before or something. Luckily she didn't see me. I can't imagine how embarrassing that would've been!

I covered Jelly's eyes and we kept on walking.

My favorite part of where I live is that no one can see into my windows. Love that freedom!

I did about 50 minutes on the treadmill this morning. I bumped up my speed a little and my shins didn''t hurt me at all, which was great.

I had my weigh-in on Saturday... I lost 2.6 pounds! I thought I was going to gain for sure! So that''s almost 8 pounds in four weeks. I just wish I saw more of a difference... My goal is still 17 pounds by mid-April. I hope I don''t have a slow-down and can hit that early!

haha omg Jelly that''s hilarious!

great job Amanda!! keep up with it and you will definitely reach your first goal! personally i find it hard to see changes in my body unless it''s really extreme but i''m sure others see them if they see you daily.

we had the worst dinner last nite at outback (after my mental taste buds rejected the thought of leftover macn cheese!) but it all tasted so good...hahah plus it was a weekend night so it was ''free''. today i''m back on the wagon, coffee and cereal for breakfast, some type of salad for lunch and who knows about dinner right now. for snacks i have been doing an orange or a kashi bar between lunch and dinner/workout.

kbox class is tonite, so that should get me good and sore!

Overslept this morning, and because we had an early meeting, we were only able to squeeze in a quick run.

Tomorrow is a new day, however.

Weekend was fabulous - got a lot done, ate reasonably (although it WAS the weekend).

Good going everyone.

Just a quick note inbetween classes. I have found that I tend do more and a bit better when I dont post. Negative comments about my eating habits tend to drag me down and really it is not healthy to keep putting myself in postion to have negative things said to me.
So I am exercising three times a day. Exercise video in the AM, Bridal Bootcamp in the afternoon, and walking in the evening. If ya need me I am always around via PM.

Hmmmm. I went back through the last week of daily workout threads and didn't see one negative comment re: your eating habits, Matatora, so I am unsure what you felt was negative, everyone is very positive in these threads, people just want to assist each other and sometimes speaking about experience helps people out.

I thought these threads were very supportive. I found people to be very encouraging of each other and the progress that everyone has made. I don't post here because I can't work out due to a bad neck, but do read it. Maybe I have missed something??

I, too, thought this a rather supportive thread. I find it keeps me accountable and also offers a place to brag a little about our accomplishments, which isn''t possible with people who don''t honestly wish us well. At the same time, not every day is a triumph but that is to be expected and tends to be widely accepted around here... which is why I''m slightly confused by your impressions, Mat.

Having said that, you know better than any of us what works best for you, and just as we supported your earlier efforts, (and I hope I speak for us all here) we''ll support this one as well.

I think I''m the culprit here, inadvertently of course. The only thing that I could see that may have upset Matatora is that one post I posted last week I encouraged her to keep excercising even though she''s stressed. I always found excercise to be a good stress reliever. But I certainly never said anything negative about her eating habits, and I never would. I''m sorry, Matatora, if my comments upset you, that certainly wasn''t my intention. I guess it''s time for me to step out of this thread. Have fun working out, everyone!

Coda don't worry, I was looking over my old posts and thinking it could be me

who said the wrong thing. Whatever you do Mat, best of luck with the workouts and eating

- you go girl! I agree Coda with exercise being a good stress reliever - when I am stressed I clean house or shovel the muckheap etc. Amazing how much better you can feel after a good muck shovelling session

Virgina, Coda and Lorilei no worries. This is something that is not recent but has basically been an issue since I started posting, I am going to follow my MD’s advice about what they think the best diet is for me and ignore the negative Nancy who likes to pick others apart. I have not posted anything about my eating habits recently which is why the new comers to these threads proably have no idea what I am talking about. However I don’t think it works as well to say only half.
I tend to be VERY THIN SKINNED about my eating habits, which is my problem. So rather then pick a fight I am just not going to post about what I am doing daily any longer.
Oh and Coda no worries about the exercise! It is definitely the best stress reliever I have, your advice was right on!

Thanks Mat

That is great that you have a doctors input and I wish you all the best and much success with your plan!
