I woke up later this morning but decided I needed to walk anyway. Jelly (my dog) got so excited when I started putting my socks and shoes on he started attacking me in the face with tons of kisses. He was so excited!

I decided to start my walk with a run around the block, then walked for 30 mins.

Also I plan on doing 30 more on my exercise bike tonight.

I''m trying really hard to stay with my "No eating after 7pm." It''s unbelievable how much snacking I do without even noticing it. *sigh*

Oh Jelly I know just how you feel, I am awful about mindless eating.
We took the puppy friends out for two hours of brisk walking this morning, the weather was just so wonderful we kept going.
I am hoping we will be able to go again later. I love walking around campus, it is a lovely place.

I''m with you both, Jelly & Mat- without measuring & writing everything down I''m such a victim of mindless eating! One good thing about PS is that I can''t eat and type at the same time!

I work so late some nights that I''m eating dinner at 9:00, which can''t be great but oh well.

Still doing well w/ my eating on ww and my exercise today is house cleaning. I actually started taking ritalin this week for what my Doc thinks is Adult ADD and I actually have energy and can think straight again, so I can get my priorities in order!

Hope everyone goes and does something fun tonight!

I did 45 mins on the elliptical today and I''m about to start my pilates buns and thighs then ab workouts. They''re so easy to stick with!

Hey Sweetpea, are you pilates workouts on a video or did you learn them somewhere else?

I just went for my 2m walk alone so I could get it over quickly...plus P is still recovering from her stomach upset so I didn't want to drag her around the park 9 times.

Also did my arm exercises this afternoon and will do my stomach in a few minutes (before going to dinner, hahaha!)....

Weekends are free for me for the most part for eating... so this afternoon my snack was Tostitos queso which I ADORE so I figure that the 2m burned off the 'snack'...hahaha. Gotta love the extra useless calories every once in a while!!

Everyone have a wonderful evening and eat something yummy!

Weekends are more or less off-time for me in terms of workouts, although if I feel inspired I sometimes do one session on either Saturday or Sunday. Today was so unseasonably warm, we spent a good part of the day doing yard work - not exactly as streneous as a run but it''ll do.

Like Mara, I also tend to re-feed a bit on the weekend.

I wanted to respond to a couple of remarks you gals have made on eating late:

If you vow not to eat after 7pm because that is your "time of weakness" (i.e. when you tend to snack etc) this is probably a smart thing. By avoiding food altogether, you are also breaking your habits. However, I''ve read a number of studies now that show eating late is not as detrimental to our health/weight as we believe. In other words, its the total daily intake of calories that matters, not when you ingest them.

So, even if you have dinner at 9pm, you''re fine as long as it''s a sensible meal and you don''t over-eat... the latter holds true even if you were to eat it at 4 o''clock. :)

Keep up the good work!

At night I often just sit around on the computer, which is located in the kitchen and snack on junk food. Also, I hear that eating at night is bad because you just go to sleep and don''t really burn it off. I''m trying to stop eating out of boredom...which is something I unfortunately do.

I do the windsor pilates dvds (I ordered the ones I wanted, arms, butt/thighs and abs on ebay separately rather than from the site)--you get great results from them, I did them consistantly over the summer for about 2 months and actually had a noticeable 6-pack. Then I stopped working out consistantly for a long time, so now I"m working on getting back into shape, but I can see it all coming back already : )

Mag you''re right re: eating late, I wanted to say that also then forgot.

Eating late is not a bad thing at all depending on what you have and how much of it you eat. Because yes often you go to bed and your metabolism slows and so does digestion as well. However, some nights when I workout we eat later and that doesn''t bother me because I try not to eat too much AND I know my metabolism is higher and will stay that way for ~24 hours. But if you want that big cheeseburger, eat it way before bedtime, for sure! hehee.
