So yesterday did not go quite as I had imagined it. I ended up spending the entire day on my feet, I went to the game where standing and screaming is a must. But I thought the rest of the day would be me studying….WRONG. Then we went to the more volleyball games and then shopping for hours. FOR SHOES? Which it turns out were not going to be bought on this trip anyway so why did we spend four hours clomping through the Galleria searching for them? I had my pedometer on I walked six miles on the single day I was going to give myself as time to recovery my poor little feet.
A friend of mine thinks it might have something to do with a pedicure I got just before school. I am borderline diabetic, and sometimes I have trouble feeling my hands and feet. The girl I went with thinks it might have been that when I was reading (I always bring textbooks if I get someone else to do it) that she might have used a “foot scrapper” on my soles and that is why they have been so prone to blistering and then bleeding since then. I am not sure if that is even possible. Sounds far fetched to me, but at the same time re-enforces my desire to do my own nails.
I do have some good news though. I am going home on the 13th or 14th and my parents (DR) are going to look at my feet and if I need to take me to see someone who specializes. Because earlier in the summer I had some issues as well. So I am not going to be jogging much, if any, until then because my foot moves differently and I need to be able to move about. I also think I will be laying of the heels and if I have to I will drive to class…
I cannot tell ya’ll how grateful I am to have had someone agree that my feet acting like this was not normal. That’s why I called my parents and now something with someone more informed about such issues then myself will be looking at it.
Oh! And for anyone who is interested, I have been using a set of weight exercises from home that I found here. I think you would need the ankle weights to do the leg ones for the arm ones free weights could be used IMO. If anyone else has a similar link I would love to see it!
