I''m giving myself a big pat on the back today! I dragged myself out of bed (even after I turned off my alarm and slept for another hour) and went to the gym this morning! My body is sore for the hard workouts with my trainer, so I didn''t do anything so big, but I walked slowly, but on a very high incline, for 45 minutes. I was defintely sweaty!

I did drink a lot last night, but I took my bf out for his birthday. We went to a great sushi place and we were both very restrained when it came to eating since it was late and we were hungry. So, I drank too many calories, but my ''points'' allowed it. I wasn''t hung over or anything this morning, but I was certainly dragging.

I''m going out to dinner for the next four nights in a row, so it''s going to be tough eating well. I need to get over my phobia of asking for things on the side or cooked with little oil.

January is a very tough month for me (anniversary of the death''s for both my parents), so I really would love to eat and drink more than I am, but I''m going to stick with it. I find that when things are hardest for me is when I strive the most. (I quit smoking a week after breaking up with a boyfriend)!

I hope all you ladies are doing well!
 
Way to keep at it! I too did NOT want to wake up this morning. I did a 40 minute bike ride and about 20 minutes of chest and arm weight lifting with my boyfriend. PS- I have the weakest pec muscles ever! My biceps and triceps are great- but apparently the poor chest muscles have been neglected. Not sure what I''ll be doing tonight- maybe my pilates DVD finally since I''ve been meaning to do it for a few nights! I''m so sorry to hear about your folks. I hope you are able to look back at a lot of wonderful memories with them.

My trainer won''t ''let'' me work my chest muscles because I overuse them. My shoulders seem to always round forward and creep up to my ears. It''s like a defensive mechanism... I am constantly having to relax them or hold onto something below me or raise my hands over my head to make sure they''re not engaged!

I''m getting nervous about my weigh in on Saturday... I''ve been so good this week. What if I didn''t lose anything... or worse, gained!
 
AmandaPanda- you''re doing Weight Watchers, right? I do it too, although I have to say I''m not as strict with journaling and keeping on point. How''s it going?
 
AP, thanks for reviving this thread! Sounds like your doing good.

I slept in the last two mornings. Yesterday I went to the gym after work, did an hour muscle strength conditioning class and then 30 minutes on eliptical, i''m headed there now for just a little bit of cardio....if only i could get off the computer.

I have been using self magazines (www.selfdietclub.com) It is free if you subscribe. I write down everything I eat and it even has a graph you can chart percentage of carb, fat, protein....LOVE IT!!
