Well, since no one has started it yet...

Afternoon ladies!

Seems like most people were productive yesterday. Matatora, I''m so impressed with all the walking you do! I live in NYC and I still don''t walk that much...

I was proud of myself this morning because I didn''t have my trainer but I managed to motivate myself to get to the gym anyway. Of course, the fact that my boyfriend left extremely early for work helped. No morning cuddles is a definite reason to get out of bed!

I did 50 minutes of cardio. 30 minutes on the elliptical at level 5 and 20 minutes on the treadmill at 3 mph and 7-8 incline.

Food is a bit of an issue as I''m ravenous due to this being my PMS week (sorry if that''s TMI). So, I had a double portion of oatmeal (320 calories) and soup and wrap for lunch. Not sure of the calroies there. I''m cooking tonight, but not sure what I''m making. Probably tuna, which isn''t so bad.

Hope you''re all having a good day!

No good news today. Didnt make it to the gym today, and have eaten half a bag of potatoe chips.... ooops. good job for making it to the gym AP, what an amazing workout! I really need to up my cardio I never do more than 40 minutes.

Way to go AP! I am soo impressed!
I had to register for spring this morning and only went. 3.43 miles so I would get back into to register as they opened the system. I am going to go again tonight though...8 miles and I will make my goal for the day!

Matadora: sorry for intruding on the thread, but have you heard anything about the new SP shared-prong bands? I emailed them about it about a week ago but haven't heard back. I'm so annoyed because my boyfriend keeps asking me if they've responded back, and I have to tell him no even though he wants to buy the ring soon!

Edited to add: I haven't worked out yet, but I'm going to do The Firm Advanced Cardio Blast in a few mins. :)

If you need a quicker response I would call. They answer you instantly on the phone and take a bit by email. I think becuase they get soo many.

I walked yesterday a few miles and today again...worked out on Tues w/a kbox where we did some brutal arm fatiguing workouts.

Probably will walk again over the weekend or tomorrow if I feel like it. I kind of like that it's gotten colder in the evenings so it's more crisp, it seems to make me walk faster than when it was warm out. Plus I'm more motivated to get finished and back into the warm house!

Eating habits have been pretty good this week...after my gorging birthday week/end last week...salads, soups, grilled chicken...etc etc.

I went through my closet and got rid of a bunch of clothes that I should have gotten rid of a long time ago..and also dug out a bunch of jeans and stuff from last fall. I'm this close to fitting into all my stuff very comfortably (they all fit now but just that extra little bit around the waist gone would be perfection) so I am totally motivated now to re-double efforts and get rid of the extra 1/2 or so around the waist (my trouble area!!). Then I'd be very happy!

Had a good day too, still gulping the water

, kept active and used the ab belt, very good foodwise. Hubby''s Christmas party is coming up so want to be in good shape for that

Has anyone considered the lateral thigh trainers? I wish I could try it but I don''t think it would be safe for my back, all that twisting.

What is the ab belt you keep mentioning?

Good morning Mat. The ab belt is a belt that fits around your abs which has pads on, which contract your muscles and is battery operated. Mine is a Flextone. They are great for me as I can''t work out much due to my back probs, you just strap this thing on and read a book for half an hour! It really does work, feels odd with your stomach going in and out but it really helps to tighten things up! I have used faradic treatments for about 20 years now and it is great for trouble spots. You can probably buy them in sports stores in the States.

Intreasting, I have seen things such as that on infomercials but I never thought they were real. Intreasting...

Yes they really work and I wouldn''t be without mine - the lazy way to get in shape!

I tried searching for one online and ended up with Amps? I will keep an eye out.

I wil have a punt around too for you, they really are worth getting, apparently a half hour session is equivalent to around a few hundred situps or crunches

All this while you read a book or watch tv!

ETA - here you go Mat, the belt I have is from this company www.slendertone.com , I don't know if they ship to the States but if you are interested I don't see why they wouldn't.

Also this one http://www.electronicmusclestimulation.co.uk/start.htm will ship to the States.

Check them out and see what you think.
