I got up this morning and went 4.96 miles with the 15lbs around my waist. I am very excited about today, my first day on my diet/workout schedule with my friend from school. We are going to lay out our long and short term goals this evening. I hope everyone else woke up in a good mood this morning.
Jellybean, I hope you little ones are feeling well.

I woke up in a great mood as well. I rode my bike to the gym and took and hour long muscle strenght conditioning class, its with weights, resistance bands, ball and it kicks my butt! I then did 20 minutes on the eliptical and rode my bike up the lake shore. Now I just need to keep my eye on what i eat all day and make sure I dont drink to much at Beck tongiht!!!

I am glad to hear it Ms Flutter! You are such a consistent source of inspiration for me. You really do a great mix of cardio exercise and weights.

i made it to the gym this morning and went longer than my usual! not much, but i felt great! instead of my 30, i did 38 minutes on the eliptical... a small but worthy hurdle.

I''ve done alright again on food today. hard boiled egg for breakfast, whole foods salad for lunch (they have a new peitite blueberry salad with blue cheese, walnuts and blueberries, YUMMY) then this afternoon I had a handful of peanut m&ms, but i put the bag away to not have any more and grabbed a stick of string cheese instead. SO not so bad.

Mata, thanks for the compliment! I try to mix it up I feel like i have come so far and learned alot, but I cant seem to loose any more, so it is very frustrating when I am at the gym at least 5 days a week. But i certainly am stronger and healthier than I have ever been, if not smaller!

Jcrow- That is nearly an extra 30% it is definitely an improvement!
Ms Flutter- I wish I had your self discipline...if I had M&M''s...well they would not be there the next day. IMO you are doing things the right way, a healthy lifestyle that can be maintained and meal choices that are balanced so that a whole weeks worth of dieting is not destroyed by a single night off.
Now watch me be a great big huge massive hypocrite....I am going to try and do the Chicken soup thing again. I lost 35lbs my freshman year of college this way (it was easier then I had only been that heavy a single semester...not 3 years). I am praying for the self discipline to stay on track. I want two things for Christmas this year, a letter of acceptance from a doctorial program and to be 130lbs or less. I am not asking for too much am I?

mat- no that''s not too much to ask especially if you are working for it! anythings possible. Good luck! You WILL make it. you seem a very determined and smart girl.

Mat,
My bf''s mom got us those chinese figurines for new years that you make a wish and fill in one eye and then when your wish comes true you fill in the other (cant remember what they are called). Anyway, I wished that I would weigh 130 pounds and it still hasnt come true. Maybe by Christmas we can both be there. The chix soup diet isnt the best idea, but not the worst either. Just make sure you are getting enough food!

Working out tonite with kbox class...even though I''m feeling lazy I know I have to go..I''ll feel better after!

Had my egg whites and coffee for breakkie; had lunch with a friend where I gorged on Indian Mee Goreng (Sinaporean NOODLE dish as I was craving some carbs); but for dinner we''re having salads (from Whole Foods of course) and chicken soup from WF. So it all balances out in the end...as long as I have my one required crunchy salad a day and the egg whites breakkie, the other meal isn''t so bad mentally.

I did my upper body weights last night and did a lot of walking today- boy can I feel it in my legs, whoo! Didn''t make it to the gym today, though- ended up having to start my work day a little early. Have a very long day planned tomorrow but I''ll try to start it off with some gym time!

Everyone is doing such a great job- great inspiration!

Matatora- good luck with the chicky soup thing! I bet your success will be really lay in being able to do it together with your school buddy. I wish I had someone here to work out with, actually having agym buddy to "make" you go is great motivation.

I just went 8.52 miles with 20lbs...I need new sneakers for when I walk/jog. My buddy is already wanting to quit I think.

I was trying to put together a schedule and meal plan with our schedules and food prefrences (one for me a diffrent set for her). But I get the feeling that hearing me say how far I went is not the same as having to do it with me.

We''ll see. I hope she will stick with me...otherwise FFF I am going to start calling you during my evening paces.

I had an off day yesterday. Got extra sleep the night before because I finally managed to get to bed early but I felt weak and tired all day! Breakfast was good but at lunch I got talked into going to a chinese buffet! But I didn''t do too badly there really, all things considered. I then spent an hour or two looking for ring settings for the diamond I got in the mail yesterday. After that I hit the gym and did a pretty good chest and arm workout even though I felt as weak as jello and couldn''t really push the weights like I usually do. Then I got about 3 miles in 30 minutes on the treadmill. Didn''t eat dinner since I had a biggerthanIshouldhave lunch and wasn''t very hungry (guilt had absolutely NOTHING to do with it, yeah right!).
