Good morning,
I thought i''d start the morning off by posting so hopefully I will get back on track w/my eating today! I did workout last night and started phase 2 of the running program. 90 sec. of running and 60 sec. of walking for 20 min. That was tough! I''m surprised how much harder it was than the 60 sec running/90sec walking but it was harder! I did it though and was glad I did b/c hopefully it helped ease off some of that weekend weight I probably picked up.

Then, I worked out this morning so 2 days down for me! Last night, since I had a big lunch, I just had a Lean Cuisine for dinner and surprisingly was full...well, full enough anyway. This morning I had fruit and yogurt for breakfast and plan to have the same for lunch. I should''ve brought some turkey but forgot. Oh well..too bad I can''t go back home, take a quick nap

and get some turkey for lunch. Boy would I looooooooooove to be asleep right now!

So that''s that.

Monarch, congrats on all your walking over the weekend! That''s great that you''re keeping up the motivation.

Good morning- great job at staying motivated and on top of your exercising Dixie- it sounds like you are really committed!

I actually did get a chance to exercise last night- I power-walked 1.5 miles. It felt nice after a weekend hiatus. Hopefully I''ll get some time to go for a walk again tonight- I think my morning workouts are over for a while, at least until the puppy can come with me for longer walks.
 
hi gals, i havent posted in here since last week...well obviously while in texas i didn''t work out and ate lots of good yummy bad stuff....heheee... but i actually managed to have a good breakfast and lunch for thurs so it was just a few meals til saturday that were not the greatest. but i knew that and it was no big deal, the food we had was awesome.

on sunday we had our typical big breakfast then a steak, asparagus and potato dinner and root beer floats, my last big hurrah before buckling down yet again for the upcoming week...

so yesterday i did pretty well...i am still writing down what i am eating during the weeks and it''s pretty interesting...i had lunch out yesterday so i found the information on what i ate (which was like pad thai) online and put it into my little calorie document, the interesting thing is that i am much more aware of what i am eating so i can plan the next meal accordingly. aka for lunch the pad thai with the bread and drink were probably about 900 calories total, which is huge for a lunch for me. so for dinner we had grilled fish and steamed cauliflower (which apparently cauli has tons of great things but very low in calories , a 4" head only has 70) and the dinner was only about 300 calories. so i managed to ''even out'' the lunch and dinner to still stay where i wanted to be for total day calories kind of thing. i wouldn''t have been able to do that before i was writing things down and understanding what i was really eating.

anyway, i didnt work out yesterday as i was kind of lazy, so hopefully i can walk today a few miles and get back on track, but lugging the luggage around the airport for an hour is surely a workout, i was pretty sore and tired on sunday and the way i pack, it''s like lifting weights big time..hehee. overall i feel really good about things right now, and even better now that i know i am more educated about what i am eating and can hopefully get those last 5 lbs off before bikini season really arrives.
 
Hi ladies--I''m way late to this thread today!

I''m kinda having a bummer day...I have a humongous blister on one of my pinky toes that is probably going to prevent me from walking much until later in the week.

I probably could keep walking on it but don''t want to make it worse than it is, and I certainly don''t want to be dealing with it Saturday, we will be doing 20 miles that day. Also, apparently it is PIG-OUT day here at work and no one told me!!! When I came in this morning there were doughnuts and bagels. I managed to only eat a third of a cinnamon raisin bagel, and had half of my protein drink. Then someone decided it would be a good day to order pizza, so now we have 6 pizzas sitting here all in my face, saying "eat me!" So I did.

THEN, to make the day a complete and utter bust, my boss''s birthday is today and mine is in a week, so one of my co-workers went and got a huge cake for us! I really can''t turn down "my" own birthday cake, that would just be rude, lol!

So you see why I am a little bummed out about not being able to walk off all these calories??? I''m already planning tomorrow''s calories--damned if I''m not gonna enjoy some cake!

Good job everyone on eating healthy and working out! I will be thinking about you while I eat some cake, hee hee.

everyone else seems to be doing really well.

after running on wednesday of last week, my right hip was really hurting -- so i took the rest of the week off and did pilates. then on saturday i went walking for about an hour. it was a great break from running and i still felt like i was sticking to my goals.

after the long rest, i ran 3.3 miles yesterday and my hip felt perfectly fine right after and more importantly didn''t stiffen up after the exercise -- so i think that is behind me.

i''m headed back to the gym tonight...
