Good morning everyone,
I am sleepy today! Is is too early in the week to wish it was Friday already??
Anyway, I have nothing new to report really. I work out today in the evening so haven''t completed my 3rd day yet. I have been a little sore lately which I suppose is a good thing b/c i''ve been trying to workout a bit harder, try new things. My eating is still going ok. Last night I ate a bit much, but all of it was relatively healthy so i''m hoping that turns out ok.

Stermag, you are right about how having a good conversation makes a *big* difference. I feel good that we both came away from our talk feeling good about us.

Oooh, good news and totally unrelated but I just found out yesterday one of my best friends is pregnant! She won''t let me tell anyone since it''s so early but I figure she can''t be mad if I tell you guys!! I''m so happy for her!

I had my trainer this morning, but we did mostly stretching since my muscles are really tight for some reason. Still exercise, but not really cardio. I did about 30 minutes of cardio before she got there, but my shin splints were acting up so I couldn''t really walk too fast or have too high of an incline. Guess I''ll have to switch to the stairmaster tomorrow.

My eating has been okay for the past couple of days. Hopefully it shows up on Saturday!
 
Amy - congrats to your friend! Very exciting news indeed!

Amanda - I am so jealous of your trainer. She sounds awesome!

I am happy to report that I completed my 3 miles on the treadmill yesterday! It was soooo hard - it took me 45 minutes, phew! I did walk a lot of it, but my main goal was really to finish it. I think I''ll be able to shave off some time before the 5K. I did some stretching & abs afterwards and by the time I got home, my legs were killing. However, after a good nights rest, I am feeling good and at 100%.

Tonight, I''ll be hitting the gym again, however I''ll prob. do about 20-30 mins. of moderate cardio (either walking or elliptical) and some weights. I will probably do arms as it will serve 2 purposes. One, I won''t overuse my legs & not be able to run & 2 I will start firming up for my wedding dress!

AP- I am so happy/proud of you. You have been really sticking to the trainer, and to eat right that is awsome!!! Congrats and keep up the good work!

I made it to the gym last night, did 15 min. of arms and 20 min. on the elliptical. I love to go Tues, Wed, and Thurs,--they don''t have Fox on the t.v.''s at my gym, so I go during AI and watch it back without commercials when I get back home! It''s a total reward system for me!

I''ve actually lost 2 pounds, which is great!

Finally some of my hard work and healthy eating is paying off!

Thanks so much Matatora. I know you don''t post on this thread anymore, so it''s really special that you came back even if it''s just for keep-up-the-good-work post. I hope things are going well for you too!
 
A light weights session for me this morning. It''s that time again and I''m crampy and bloated, but apparently I''ve lost a pound since the last time I stepped on the scale. Down to 149... slow, but steady.



I need a nap.
 
I did pretty well last night, wasn''t too exhausted. I did 1 mile of interval running, 1 mile of steady pace running at 7 mph, then 1 more mile of interval running. I wasn''t as tired as I have been feeling. I also did 10 pushups, no weights since I did those on Monday. I''m debating on taking today off and working out tomorrow and Friday or taking Friday off and working out today and tomorrow.

Sounds like everyone is doing well. Keep up the good work!
 
coda maybe you should go to see the doctor....or a nutritionnist about how tired you are after working out? just to make sure nothing is really wrong? just a thought.

i did my ''home'' work out last nite which consists of some cadio and exercises we do in class mixed with pilates...just try to keep my heart rate up for 20-3 minutes to get something out of it. stupid arm!

today it''s sunny, yay, so i plan to go walk my 2-3m at the park this afternoon. hopefully the weather holds up!

i tried on a bikini yesterday, gosh why is it that we always look so much better in clothes than out of them?! life is so unfair. i look good i guess, it''s not like i was horrified, but it could always be better. are we too hard on ourselves?
 
Mara, I have an appointment to see a doctor in April about my abdominal issues, and I think this may be related to my exhaustion. If that doesn''t turn out to be the case, I will pursue it with another doctor because believe me, I''m not liking this. But I want to try and keep up with my workouts until I have an answer to the problem. I know how hard it is to get back in shape again.
