Damascus Steel Ring

I dropped by one of my favorite jewelers yesterday and they were having their annual August clearance sale. This Damascus steel tension set pretty was on sale and it was a perfect fit. Husband and son already have Damascus steel rings that I purchased for them, so I decided that this one was meant to be mine. Specs are 4.5 mm wide, tension set 0.05 ct E SI1 ideal cut diamond (this jeweler uses Lazarre Kaplan melee) bezel set in platinum.

Up close. This designer specializes in combining steel and precious metals with diamonds and colored stones. Dropping by his shop to look at the pretties is one of my guilty pleasures.

Yes, it''s definitely not the case that I have a 5 point diamond and was looking for a setting for it! We just love the swirly look of Damascus steel.
