Sold David Klass Antique Style Platinum Setting

I'm having a really difficult time making a listing on Loupe Troop. I will keep trying. For now here is the info.....

I have decided to sell my DK setting as I’ve started the process of resetting my diamond. It’s platinum and a size 8 currently. It was resized from a size 7 1/2 for me by a local jeweller. I purchased it from DK a few years ago but haven’t worn it much. It’s in very good condition.

My diamond (not included in the sale) is an OEC and measures approximately 6.3mm. This ring gives great finger coverage and would look lovely with your diamond or coloured stone.

I will be shipping the setting to DK this week so it will be located in the US (LA). You will be able to deal with DK to either have him set your stone or have it shipped to you.

I paid $1650 and am asking $750. That will include shipping to DK. I’m a private seller so there are no returns. Thank you for looking

Thank you! I am going to be sharing my ideas on RT as soon as I have them straight in my own brain lol! I can tell you that I'm thinking about yellow gold though!

I am very interested! How can I reach you? I just happen to have a 6.3mm Faint Pinkish Brown loose diamond that I was looking to set in a vintage style setting ... and I wear a size 8! I had sent DK a couple of setting styles for a quotes, but neither of them felt quite right. I love your ring and have had it saved as an inspiration setting

Email sent! I just pulled out my diamond paperwork and see that my stone is 6.15mm instead of 6.3mm like I had thought. I asked David in my email if he thought my stone would still fit the setting without any issues. The difference seems minor, so hopefully he will say yes .

It seems that DK has gone away for a couple of weeks judging by the automated response I got last night. I’m happy to hold on to the setting and organise it’s sale when he returns on 23 August.

Hi @marymm and @Maisie . Since you have a stone that will fit the setting perfectly marymm, then perhaps the setting was meant to be yours . My stone will be just a tad smaller than Maisie's, but the stone size difference might just make a difference in the overall look of the ring. It's such a beautiful ring and deserves a stone with a perfect fit. I was originally planning a diamond halo for my stone, so I can bow out and go back to my original plan of a diamond halo. It's such a beautiful ring .

2Neezers, since the sale/purchase is on hold til 8/23 pending DK's return, why don't you take some more time to decide? FWIW based on my own experience I am positive a 6.1mm stone will fit beautifully in a setting crafted for a 6.3mm stone. If you end up deciding you really do prefer a halo for your stone, then for sure I would be happy to purchase it from Maisie.

FWIW based on my own experience I am positive a 6.1mm stone will fit beautifully in a setting crafted for a 6.3mm stone. If you end up deciding you really do prefer a halo for your stone, then for sure I would be happy to purchase it from Maisie.

Hi marymm, I do think a white diamond halo would help the faint pinkish tint to show up more in the diamond I was going to place in this setting, and I would like for the tint to pop as much as possible. Maisie’s setting is so beautiful though...but I should probably stick with the halo route for this stone. I bet you have an amazing stone that will fit the setting and it’s your ring size too!
