Happy holidays to you? I bought this gorgeous necklace just over a year ago from a well-known PSer over at the Bistro. And as much as I’ve always wanted a DBTY necklace, in practice it just didn’t flatter my rather chunky neck and was spending way too much time snuggled in its downy safe bed/box. My chub could be your gain!
This piece comes with an appraisal from Gemological Appraisers of America for $1800 which describes it as: Diamond Fashion Necklace 0.88 CTW 14k white gold eyeglass bezel. 8 ideal cut round brilliant diamonds. Color G. Clarity SI1/SI2. 18 inches. Conflict free diamonds.
And the original owner’s description is:
This is from a local jeweler. I scrutinized it and I can spot some inclusions in some of the stones from 6' away but let's hope few people will be up close a personal on your neck like that. The cut on the stones is very good, the appraiser calls them "ideal" but I know what ideal looks like and they aren't that. They roll around on the neck a lot (which is why I'm selling) and even the culet side up can throw fire quite like a rose cut. The necklace is in great condition. This has 8 stones which must be about 11 points each..... I roughly measured them and the reading was between 2.5mm and 2.75mm...not that they are different sizes my tool is just not super precise.
As the 2nd owner, the rolling/smudging didn’t bother me a bit but I’m not a loupe gal at all. Condition hasn’t changed, as I found out pretty quickly that my previous daily-wearer (Rose Gold pave starfish) was more flattering on me *particularly*. Hate to part with such a pretty piece but it’s truly a waste to go unworn for this long. Home visit will be required before adoption. Just kidding!
Price: $850

(The Bistro pic. is of the swan-necked previous owner & the pictures over here are mine ... figured I'd put the recent stuff over here because I'd prefer a PSer get it!)
