Hi!

I’m looking at 2 diamonds for my upgrade and I’m torn between which one. I would love to get some opinions on them.

Thanks for your thoughts.

I like the size and clarity of the 2.55!

I got the video of the side by side.

If you're OK with the F VS2, then I think it represents a nice value for the color and cut precision.
You will likely be able to spot the largish inclusion with a steady hand in the right lighting condition...may be beneficial to quickly tell "yep, that's my diamond!" if you ever have it professionally cleaned or maintenance adjustments done, especially if you plan for a full bezel that may completely cover the laser inscription.

If clarity is a concern, then pick the G VS1.

Clarity aside, you can't make a wrong choice between these two amazing diamonds, in my opinion.

Is the VS2 eye clean?

If the choice were mine I’d pick the 2.55 G VS1. It’s bigger has better clarity and G is still quite white. The crystal inclusions on the 2.448 F VS2 would bother me.

Is the VS2 eye clean?

Michelle said “Yes, I was able to see the inclusion at 5 inches. This would not be anything someone casually admiring the diamond would notice. But if you have a keen eye and can focus at 5 inches or so, you can find it.”.

Would that bother you? Not sure how you feel about clarity.

I currently have an SI2 with a feather inclusion that is partially covered by a prong and while at times I don’t mind it, sometimes I wish it wasn’t there. After watching the video again, the inclusions bother me. I’m thinking the G is the way to go.

The black inclusions would bother me too but some can take them in stride. I do like the G!

I love the G!

Yeah, I also don't like inclusions under the table. When I was younger I would go hunting for inclusions like Michelle is describing. Now my vision is not great so I don't do it anymore. But still, I avoid stones with potentially visible inclusions under the table.

I also love the G. G is blazing white in my experience, and its bigger.

I have a G now so I know I’ll be fine with it. Now comes the hard part of deciding on the setting.

What type of setting are you considering?

Did you go with the 2.55 G?

Gorgeous diamond! I love my Vatche U113, can’t wait to see yours.

I thought I would try something different this time as I’ve always had 4 prong rings. I went with the Vatche U113.

Oh, please come back with pictures for us when you receive the ring! It is going to be beautiful!!!
