I found this hair style I love on brides.com, and I''m absolutely mesmerized by it.

What kind of veil would you put on this? I love the deco style but I want to keep it relatively modern because our food will be high-end latin style food and I''m afraid that the latin/tropical feel will be a bit difficult to incorporate with the old hollywood/deco waves.. I guess I could always pick a different party dress, and change up the accessories...

I think you could really do anything, but I''d pick a birdcage veil.

Then again, I think it''s MUCH more important to match the style of the veil to that of the dress!

I 2nd the bird cage, although depending on the dress a mantilla (sp?) could work as well. I think it should be a simple veil that is sheer enough to see your hair.

I thought about doing a mantilla veil, maybe not this ornate, but I like how it doesn''t cover my face.

oooh that would be pretty as well!

i think latin and deco actually go really well togehter..makes me think of a cuba in the forties kind of flair...or the riviera and lola and all that jazz....

do you have to have a veil? i think a really sparkly deco-ish comb on one side or some feathers would look FAB. If it has to be a veil, the birdcage would be my first pick, and the mantilla is pretty too...however i''m not a huge fan of the really short one -- may beon that stops about elbow length?

i agree though, your dress is really going to determine what veil (or non-veil) looks best. Have you picked a dress yet?

I would go with a birdcage veil but then again I am biased because it''s what I have!

I can highly recommend Dorene at Unveiled Bridal Designs. Here is the same one she made for me except mine has fewer feathers. She will customize anything about the veil for you, and for under $100 you can''t beat the price!

You know, you''re right. I never thought of it until you mentioned Cuba, but since I''m Puerto Rican, there are TONS of art deco buildings in old San Juan! Woo.. I feel much much better about going towards this style...

That short veil is very cute, I really like that too!
