I'm a passionate fan of Vosges chocolate, which is a Chicago based company that also has stores in Las Vegas and New York (plus on line). They do wedding favours, but they are quite expensive ($5-6 each), so I had almost given up on that idea. But I just realized that they sell mini-chocolate bars in their weird and wacky (but crazy delicious) flavours and when I called they said they can wrap them individually with their signature purple ribbon, which just so happens to match perfectly with the venue and my so-far-fave flowers inspiration. OK, I confess that the flower idea sort of came from my love of Vosges purple, rather than vice versa. These bars are only $2.50 each. Plus, I have a coupon for 10% off. So, TOTALLY affordable.

Here is a pic of the venue, my dress, my bouquet, and the signature purple box.

I was starting to think favours would be a drag... and wasn't sure I even wanted to do them. But I love this stuff so much that I'm excited about giving these out. Best thing is, if people are crazy enough not to take these, I will happily gobble up every last extra one.

So, now I''m inspired and bought a bunch of ribbon and paper flowers for decorations. I hope I bought enough!

See? maybe things will hang together after all.

That''s great news! I love the box that they come in-purple is one of the colours that I''m going for.

Yay! And that is such a rich and fun shade of purple!

I LOVE Vosges chocolate, and I don''t even like chocolate! FI''s cousin gives us Vosges for Hannukah each year, it is DELICIOUS. Your guests are going to love it, and the purple boxes are GORGEOUS! Nice find, Indy!

Just a really sad FYI:

We had really nice chocolates in little boxes as favors on the tables, and my husband was lusting over eating the leftovers. Many guests left them on the tables to go dance, and the caterers THREW THEM AWAY rather than collecting them for us. They probably threw away half of all we bought! as many guests were planning to go back and get theirs, and we had put out extras.

So just make sure you go over all the little details with the caterers, including the collection of extra favors.

Hubby is still bitter he didn''t get his chocolates.

Congrats! It all looks so beautiful. Wish I''ve sampled these before..a chocolate I''ve missed? Can''t believe it!

Vosges. I was in NYC a few weeks ago and I was lucky enough to be close to the Vosges in SoHo, so I stopped in to get cocoa. Soooooooo good. That is one favor that I would love to get as a guest. I might even steal them from other guests when they went to the bathroom...

Cara that is truly awful!!

Glad to see there are other Vosges fans around. It is so much more fun to be excited about what I''m giving our guests as a favour instaead of it being a sort of ''oh, lord, well, I guess we have to do SOMETHING''. Like with the BM gifts... choosing those turned out to be so much more fun than I expected and now I''m super excited about giving my girls their presents!

IG - those look gorgeous and definitely yummy! i keep hearing about vosges so now need to find some and try them out.

. My friend is a scrap booker and her caterer threw away her place card with her and her husband''s name on it. I would definately tell the caterers what you want to save or risk having them dump it. They are interested in getting out of there by the end of the night and think about what they are tossing unless you ask them to.

Indy, make sure they don''t throw yours away. I''m drooling just thinking about those chocolates.

(I feel like Homer Simpson.... "mmmmmm chocolates")

Beautiful! I meant the deal!

The box will be just the right touch! It looks so regal and elegant. And ever so yummy!

When you started this post on purple favors I got all excited to share with you Fairytale brownies. But then I went to their site...and YIKES!! I had no idea favors were so much. They do have little morsels though...just wanted to give you another purple backup if you needed it...

Fairy Tale Brownies you choice is hands down much better! It is going to make your settings!! Woo HOO! §

Oh I LOVE their chocolates.

We discovered them in Chicago in September and I have 2 boxes of their mini-bars staring at me right now that I''m too scared to eat as I can''t get them here
