Hi ladies!
Just thought I''d update before anyone starts wondering "whatever happened to Denverkat- she was awfully close to the top of the list..."
Well, I sort of forgot about my engagement obsession. About a year ago I was going nuts and sounding desperate (according to my closest friends, even!) and convincing BF to go to jewelry stores with me and putting together wedding-planning scrapbooks in secret, and really straining the relationship. Then things just got busy- between finishing school and moving and hurricanes, etc, the engagement fever lifted (though I still thought about it every now and then)
Well, a couple months ago, BF starts mentioning marriage and engagement all the time, but I didn''t pay much attention to it (to spare my feelings just in case he was just being "nice", you know?) Then about a month ago we''re in the car and he tells me that he''s been referring to me as "his fiancee" to his co-workers "because, you know, it''s sort of a foregone conclusion." !?! So then I was both very annoyed, but super-excited
That weekend we get a call from his parents and to summarize: BF is receiving a nice chunk of extra income he wasn''t expecting. All on his own, he decides to spend half of it to get our stone set, and the e-ring w-band set was shipped on Thursday. Apparently, I will be receiving it sooner than later, because he has told me that my parents will get to see me wearing it when they visit us at Christmastime. (Wedding fever is kicking in again, and it feels good!)
So here'' a picture of what the set will look like. Although during my time at Pricescope, I have changed my mind 35 million different times and dragged BF to local jewelery stores half as many times, we decided on the original set we looked at 2 years ago, this Natalie K:
