Ok, so thanks to all these ENABLERS and INFECTORS on PS, my wheels started turning!
Since I received my leverbacks, I found that I never wore my studs anymore. I hated having that much $$ just sitting in the jewelry box unused.....but even MORE than that, I felt like I was a DIAMOND NEGLECTER! SOB! How could I leave my beautiful stones just sitting there abandoned?
So, I decided to trade in one of my .55 studs. Initially, it was earmarked to go toward another long-coveted project (which is still happening but via another means - more in the coming days on that!
). BUT THEN, my good buddies Mara and KtRn planted a little poisonous seed, and here is the result!
(Actually, truth be told, I''m the one who started the ball rolling. Kt was thinking of trading her studs for something else, and I suggested initially that she keep them. But THEN, she found her 2.43 killer K stone, and all bets were off. She missed the stud option, and an idea was born.....get smaller studs and get the jackets to make up the size).
I''d like to personally thank STEEL for started the NOXIOUS, VIRAL jacket flu that seems to have struck PS! The proverbial grapevine was BUZZING on these after she posted a pic of her 1-ct stone next to the jacketed smaller studs and PS-land saw how huuuuuuuuuge they looked. Steel, I''m holding you personally responsible for the dent in my bank account!
I traded in my .55 J stud for these two .34 I, VS2 ACA studs from WF and only had to add a few $$ more. Then I bought the jackets, and VOILA! BA-BLING! At this price point, it''s much easier to have ''occasional wear'' stones that I can love!
Plus, with this look, I get the feeling I''m going to be much more inclined to switch between my studs and leverbacks.
I''m no diamond discriminator - I love em all - but when I opened the box and twirled the stones, I was all "uh-HUH! Yep - Brian sure knows what he''s doing with those ACA babies!" The scintillation and dancing fire colors are scrumptious! These stones just BLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAZE with color!
Enough with the babbling - let''s get to what everyone cares about anyway! EYE-CANDY!
