These are all photos of the same diamond. In some lights it’s ivory (my favorite) but in others it’s near white, varying shades of yellow and more often than I’d like, green. Is this normal? Photo dump. I have many more haha but I think this is enough to make my point. :)

Amazing. This is very common for diamonds in the OP and more tinted range. Even the greenish color. They pick up and amplify colors in the environment. Setting can help mitigate it. The color of gold can shift it around.

It is all about the lighting environment that you are viewing the diamond in - a diamond reflects back the colors of the environment. A D colored diamond can look somewhat yellow in a room with beige walls.

good reason not to use beige in home decor

@vitona526 Is this the stone you freed from that big bulky setting? Cool stone!

She definitely has multiple personalities-fun if you enjoy all the color variations she has!

I had an old cut N color diamond that was like this and she consistently went greenish. If you don’t enjoy that tone in her my suggestion would be to not set her in rose gold, I unfortunately did that hoping to bring out more of her ivory tones and it backfired and brought out her ugly greenish side.

How are you planning on setting her?
