Adding the last few items to my sale to fund Edwina's new setting. All items have Etsy links and come with free shipping (USPS priority mail with tracking). Please feel free to ask questions! Most items have sold very quickly, so thank you everyone for your support!
WILD CARD!!!
This is a project I can't afford to finish, so my loss is your gain! They can be made into studs or used as components in a three stone ring, or dropped from shepherd hooks for dangles - up to you!
18k (tested & confirmed because they're unmarked) antique Russian rosettes featuring OEC/OMC diamond and Russian demantoid garnets. They measure 7.5mm average diameter, with the diamonds measuring 4.5mm average. The demantoids average 1.5mm and are as bold and sparkly as they come.
These came from an antique ring that was part of a Parure which made its way through Rago Arts auctions in 2008 (https://www.ragoarts.com/auctions/2008/12/07/jewelry/1183) and somehow got separated from the rest of the lot. I bought it from an antiques dealer for $750 and planned to have them converted to the perfect daily stud earrings. HOWEVER I was unable to find a jeweller locally who would use a laser weld to connect the posts to the backs (garnet cannot survive the heat of a jeweler's torch) and so they sat unworn. Oh, sure, I could keep them -- but Edwina must have a dress, so why not offer them up to those who are passionate about bling or even connected in the industry and might make a finished product with them?
Demantoid garnets (especially with this color) are wildly expensive and mere earring jackets of them (without diamonds) sold recently on Ruby Lane for over $1200 - so the new owner of these might go that route and make a great profit from them. Mazel Tov and I hope someone does!!!
Asking $499 only because they are so rare and someone will know what a bargain they are! Please put me out of my misery and adopt them. They have such soulful sparkle.
