My dad passed away in 2008 and I had some diamonds from his jewelry repurposed into items I can wear and think of him. First is a .70ct diamond from his pendant (sadly, I do not have a photo of his pendant). The halo is .22cts G VS diamonds supplied by DK. Here are glamour shots of my new pendant...

Here is another poor quality photo. I could have at least taken the photo on a blouse instead a lint filled t-shirt. Hopefully you appreciate a bad photo instead of no photo.

Thank you. I previously had a pendant made by a local jeweler from the 12 diamonds and was not happy with it. It was a circle of life pendant. I did not realize there was one larger diamond so it looked odd and un-even.

These are beautiful! It’s like keeping your Dad close to your heart!

Such a sweet remembrance of your Dad - I am sure he would be pleased with what you did. Enjoy!

What a wonderful way to keep your Dad close. They are beautiful.

Perfect & timeless. What a lovely way to use your fathers diamonds.

What an awesome way to repurpose your dad's stones and remember him by. I see these as heirloom pieces to be passed on to the kids and grandkids. I hope it will bring you happy memories

gorgeous! love both!

I remember thinking the same thing when I made the original circle of life pendant. I'm happy these came out so nice.

I was in charge of selling all his belongings and I did not take time to consider keeping keepsakes. I'm happy I got these. They are not the highest quality, but he treasured them so now I will treasure them. I consolidated my jewelry and hope to pass along an item or two to each child/grandchild.

Both beautiful pieces and such sweet reminders of a loved one.

Sometimes we are so focused on the task at hand and getting the job done , we don't take the time to figure out what we need and want to do. I am glad you have these to treasure.

Those are such beautiful memorial pieces @donnabrsd. I hope they bring you many many years of peace and healing ::)

I can only imagine he would be so happy to see you enjoying the things that brought him joy ::)

Thank you for your kind words. Just having the diamonds repurposed into these lovely items is making me remember happy thoughts about my dad. I felt bad before just letting them sit in the mini baggie for so long.

Both pieces are just stunning. What a beautiful tribute to your dear dad.

Such a beautiful way to honor your dad! I hope wearing these beautiful necklaces brings you comfort and peace.

I totally missed this but looked for it after seeing your picture of your favorites in the other thread! I keep seeing things I missed from the summer, I guess from being in and out of town so much!

I love both the pendant and the sprinkle necklace! I made a halo pendant very similar to yours from a diamond that was passed down from my great-grandmother to my aunt, then my mother, and eventually to me. It is .80 so very similar to yours! I also have a dbty long necklace, but mine doesn't have sentimental stones. I think you made excellent choices in resetting your father's diamonds and turned them into future heirlooms for your family!

Here is the sprinkle necklace made from the 12 diamonds (3.31ctw) from his ring (again, sadly no photo of his ring).

These are so beautiful! I especially love the sprinkle necklace. Delicate and stunning.

I just went back and looked at your pendant, they are very similar from the front view. I love the stories of passed down items. I think hearing about them here on PS made me think of doing the same. I never thought I'd like a dbty necklace. I thought symmetrical placement of the stones and the necklace rotating would bother me. I ended up tying little pieces of string to a long string in a pattern (2 close together and one alone) and loved it instantly. They shifted a little when I delivered it to DK but I'm happier with the even less symmetrical pattern. My 19 year old daughter has no interest in jewelry but I'm hoping that changes so I can pass along some of my items to her.

Thank you. It's surprisingly very durable despite the delicate look.
