I am torn between both diamond .94 E vs a 1.22 I. Both are eye clean and white face up. I do notice yellow underneath the I colored stone. The difference in price is minimal, so not sure if it makes more sense to go with the bigger stone with slight yellow. I am a tad bit color sensitive :( it's also 19 percent larger, makes it that much harder to decide

Hi! I am dealing with the same issue as I research stones for my future upgrade (whenever that may be)! hehe
Higher color, higher clarity, smaller size vs lower color, lower clarity, bigger size

I'm pretty color sensitive too and if I could see the yellow, I know for fact that it would bother me.
If i HAD to choose between the 2, I would go with the 0.94 E/si1, but I'm sure there are others out there who would choose the 1.22.
It's not something someone can give you advice on but rather something you will have to decide for yourself. If you think the stone being tinted is something you can live with than go for the size... but if you get the larger stone and you know the tint is going to bother you, than you probably need the E. Diamonds aren't cheap so you want to make sure you're super happy with your purchase.

But do you have to pick between the 2 stones? Maybe try to find something in the middle...g/h that's a little over 1ct? :twirl:

Thanks for the reply! Yes, since he plans on purchasing in the next month these are his options for me. I notice the white color so much more, makes it a tough decision :( both look amazing in picture and it's mostly the edge and underneath

There are lots of choices besides these two. I would not care to pay for E color because I would rather have a greater size. But if you are uncertain about I color (and I wouldn't want SI2, personally), then go to G or H SI1 and get over 1 ct. If he is shopping at a jeweler who only has two potential stones, then I would suggest that he needs to broaden the search! I hope he is searching for excellent/ideal cut stones.

(Incidentally, questions about diamonds and settings go in Rocky Talky. This forum is for showing off the completed rings or other jewelry.)
