Diamond Price Opinions - Round 1.2ct .....

Hi Diamond Gurus,

First time buyer. This is my first post on this forum. Need help on this 1.2ct stone.

I am looking for a ring for my partner and have been doing a bit of research.
I have come across a shop in my country where they seem to be very helpful and know what they are talking about.

I have been given a quote on the following diamond but to me it seems very expensive compared to prices overseas (ie. USA) For the price I could book a trip to NY and get a ring and still possibly be less!!! + I would of got a trip out of it.

Here are the specs for what was quoted to me:
Round Brilliant 1.2ct
Colour: E
Clarity: VS2
Cut: Excellent
table-55.4
depth-62.0
pavillion angle-41.8
crown angle-33.2
culet-none
Girdle: Medium 3%
measurement- 6.94 x 6.99 x 4.32
No flouro.
It has an HRD certificate and a local cert as well which is based in GIA. But doesnt have polish and symmetry like the GIA certificate.

around $15000USD (this price includes the actual ring priced at $1000USD)

Is this to much for a diamond that is not even GIA certified?

You should also check and compare prices on similar stones with some of the diamond sellers on pricescope. Many of them advertise the prices on their websites, and you can comparison shop that way as well.
