Hello, there. During 4th quarter of 2008 October November time frame, global recession hits U.S economy very badly, and job losses went way up. How does this affect diamond prices for point 90 to 1 carat sizes?

A few weeks ago Rapaport adjusted prices down slightly. It could be related to decreased demand, however it may also be related to the rally in the dollar for the past several months.
