Hi this is Diamonddelux, probably one of the very few on this panel who have never even touched a diamond over .05pt
But when people send us emails over the internet, not requesting money, not requesting bank account information or any personal information at all.
But they want to locate someone to pick up a parcel (as they call it)....What kind of scam is that??
I''ve been emailed by someone who claims to have "diamonds" real one too... and they want me to pick them up and sell a few and mail them the money. Ok tell me where the catch is here.? I don''t mean to be really ignorant, this is not my intention. The stones are not arriving from any where in Africa, South America, Angola, or in a country that has wars going on.
What are they up to???ummmmmm
I invite your nonflaming suggestions. By the way I am not fluent in selling diamonds at all. I am only a Sherlock Holmes of Mystery. I''ve never even owned a diamond more than .05pts round. But I do really like them. And love reading all kinds of information on this pannel, especially "furthermore". Thanks

it's a scam, much like those silly nigerian "419" emails.

people with diamond parcels to sell these days don't need to email strangers about them. the demand is such that they will be beating off potential customers no matter where they are.

Absolutely agreed with the Capt! Scams are anything that include people looking to "share their profit" with someone they don't know, can't trust, and have no idea who or what you are or were...

Money is not made by giving it away to strangers, but these scam artists sure make their money by getting it from the money strangers just give away!

If you want to work with ANYONE, get their Social Security number, and do a credit check and FBI search. If they are honest and truly want to work with you, this should be a formality.

But, if there is something to hide, they will run scared, and so should you! Even if this was REAL, they could be smuggling, and leave you holding the bag. Do you like jail? And that's being optimistic that they didn't just run away with your $500 or so to "get a form filed" or to "process some (phony) paperwork" in their country.

Run, just run.

Right Nic!!...
