Hi as the title says. I'm looking for some white gold diamond studs. My dream pair would be bezel set with a screwback. I'm in the UK and thought it would be easier to avoid vat and import to stick with UK based PSers.

Good luck with your search, as bezel set is not that common in earrings, and neither are screw backs, based on what I have seen.

Therefore, IMHO, the chances of such a pair of earrings would be very remote, unless they had been imported into UK from the likes of US or Far East.

However, I could be wrong.

Thanks for your reply. That does seem to be the issue I'm finding in the UK shops. I'm terrible for losing earrings though and just thought these would be more secure.

You might find that buying from the US works out the same price for similar specifications, and you would have the benefits of better cut if you went with HPD/WF/BG!

Diamonds are subject to 20% VAT on import and (IIRC) 2.5% when set into jewellery, but I'm not sure if that 2.5% is cumulative or on the 'base price'.

I’ve got a set of white gold bezels. Pushback though. 0.84 ctw ACA and CBI. D color. One is VVS1 and one is SI1. Perfectly matched.

If you set up a loupetroop account, you could ask people to contact you there. It’s avoids you having your personal email posted online, plus you could then screen out any emails that worry you for whatever reason.

A bit late to the party (sorry) - but have you tried Quality Diamonds? They have a bezel listing and can do screw backs. I've bought from them before and they were lovely to deal with.

An aside, the LoupeTroop listings also are picked up by Google, so if anyone does not want their PS name matched with their email, you may want to set up a secondary LT email. I recently ran a check of my email during a job application (never hurts to see what's hanging out there) and realized my LT ads were showing up with my PS name and regular email. I prefer to keep my vices to myself
