Hello Everyone.

I've been looking at getting one for a long time and when I did decide it's now within budget to actually seriously buy one as well as a bezel solitaire I've been wanting for a long time, we go into lockdown and I can't look at any in peson. So I've been doing lots of research here for when we have some more certainty in our daily lives here in Sydney :-)

I'm looking at one to wear with a yellow gold 14k bezel slider solitaire that's on an 18" chain, well, when I finally get it. The DBTY I'd like with the following:
* Rose Gold at 16.5" or 17" length;
* 13 Rounds x 7 or 8 pointers (lucky number to me);
* equal spacing;

Is there anything else I need to look out for?

To throw a spanner in the works, while looking through Pricescope, I came across the long versions at 34" or 36". I can squeeze the budget to get a 34" with 15 x 10 pointers and wear it doubled up. OR get my original 17" planned version and save up for a 34" with 15x15 pointers later down the track? To those who has a long one and wear it doubled, is it something I can keep on all the time? Or too uncomfortable when it's doubled up?

Thank you all so much for letting me ramble on. This lockdown is giving way to research time and finally sorting out my jewellery "uniform" for daily wear.

Keep safe everyone. xxx

Just something to consider, if you double up a longer length it may move and adjust during the day and end up tighter around your neck. I have a longer chain that I double up for impact and find myself needing to loosen it during the day. It’s a thicker chain, not a delicate piece like youre considering, but I just wanted to throw this out there. Have fun shopping!!

Thank you MamaBear, I hadn't thought of that. I'll consider that when I try different lengths on when our shops open again.

If you're considering the longer version to wear doubled, perhaps you might order a costume version to wear and get a feel for the length/weight?

I second this suggestion. I have that long Berricle necklace and discovered that length didn't work for me for an everyday necklace. I ended up buying a shorter DTBY. The other thing you could do with a long one is have a 2nd clasp added at 17" or 18" in so that you could wear it short or long, but the clasp would be visible.
